All-Star Movies vs Pop Century - which of the 2 is the better value resort and why? Having a hard time deciding on which one to stay at in November. Have always stayed at a moderate resort but trying to save a little money and stay at a value this time. Thanks for the input.

They are both basically the same. POP is always a little more expensive. I like the POP food court and bus service (dedicated...where the All Stars often share). Movies has been renovated more recently.

I actually chose Movies for a quickie food and wine trip for this September, simply because it had been longer since I've been at Movies.

I've recently been nursing a deluxe addiction but i am excited about staying at a value this time, they are awesome!!

Movies is older pop century is new . We are staying at pop the 24th,25th,26th and the 27th of this month. I know this is not much help but I would do Pop. Just because its newer. You will have a good time no matter which you choose.

We loved POP! The food court was really good and would go again just for the tye dye Cheese cake!

Another vote for POP! Better location , more in the center of than the all stars. Quicker rides to MK and Epcot and HS as well as DTD. With its dedicated buses it is usually shorter wait times too. Rooms are about the same as far as size and layout. We have stayed at POP and all star sports both are ok but POP is just so much more disney to us and we will probably use POP from now on. But you will have fun at either, all star gave us free dining last trip so we went there. Good luck have fun !

Movies is our favorite value resort. Also, in low season there isn't much bus "sharing." In fact out of the hundred or so times we have ridden the Movies buses, we have "shared" maybe a handful of times, and that was really mostly dropping off after park closing.

Pop is a close second though and is super fun too

Movies was completely renovated end of 2011, beginning of 2012.

For us, it would just be a matter of which theme is more fun. Since our kids grew loving Disney movies, I think ASMO would be our choice between the two.

Same for us. It was simply priceless for is to stay on those Toy Story rooms when our son was Buzz and Woody crazy

We love POP! The buses are great because there is only one stop, and the food court is a lot of fun too.

We also like Pop. Art of Animation is a short walk across a bridge and there are some cool things to see there.

It's interesting reading the responses. We have stayed only at Movies so far, and loved it, especially the Toy Story section. Decided to stay at Pop this summer just for somewhere different. We are also going to Universal and La Nouba this time so wanted to stick to value for budgetary reasons. We also got a PIN for resort which I think was a little better deal for Pop than the All Stars.

We've been to both and we would take POP any day over ASMovies. I think the theming is better at POP and it just has a better feel for us.
The food court is also better at POP.

POP is always a little more expensive.

We switched from AS to POP and the price went down about $15 a night.

Depends on when you are going as far as which is cheaper. Pop has the Summer discount and movies does not. Music and Sports also have Summer discount and are less than Pop by about $5/night. Forgot to add, I'd pick Pop over Movies.

POP. We have stayed at All Star Sports and Pop. We are going first week of Aug and staying at POP again.

Hands down, Pop. We just stayed at Movies last month, not a fan. Have stayed at Pop several times and no issues
