Any opinions on AMO v. POP? My family is looking at both resorts and we can't decide. Since POP is newer I was under the impression it would be nicer, but the rooms don't seem as fun as those at AMO. Help!

Stayed at both. Both are great. I'd say if your child has a big opinion on one of the themes at the ASMo, like being a huge Bozz Lightyear nut, then that might tip the scales over to that one. Otherwise I just dont think you can go wrong.

No children, just a huge group of adults who can be just as picky! ; ) Thanks for the info!!

I've done both also. I liked them both about the same. My family enjoys the value resorts. We just enjoy Disney period!! :) Sorry I can't say one over the other. I tried to but can't!! ;) LOL

I've only stayed at Pop and we loved it. The kids really loved it too! One thing I would take into consideration is the bus situation. At Pop you don't have to worry about sharing busses like you do at the All Stars. I wanted to stay at ASMo but decided against it for the transporation issues. I have a friend who just returned and said the busses were horrible. I'm sure you'll have fun either way. :wave2:

We like the selection of food at the food court better at the All Star resorts.

I have stayed at ASMo and liked it however if it is adults only I would say that POP might be better, the only bad thing is POP is still so new it isone of the most popular values and is always busy, I hear the buses are always crowded and wait can be long at times...

My DD (18) and I have stayed at both and while we certainly liked AS, we definitely preferred POP. The theming is outstanding :cheer2: and I think in many ways adults "get it" even better than the kids. DD thought it was a real hoot when the CS at check in said "have a groovy day" :rotfl: and they were playing the Doors "Light my fire" in the food court! :rotfl2:

I always rent a car, so we only took the bus a couple of days but had no problems. My understanding is they are extremely crowded early in the morning and very late at night. We always got a seat and never waited more than 10 minutes. :teeth:

We were in the 50's building, 4th floor, facing the bowling pin pool... we were a 5 minute walk from everything... very convenient :Pinkbounc

Which ever you choose, I'm sure you'll have a great time :goodvibes And you will just have to plan another trip for later so you can stay at the resort you don't pick this time ;)

That sounds good to me!
We stayed at ASM last AUgust and loved it! But when we were heading back to the airport, our airport bus stopped to pick up a couple from POP. All we could say was "WOW!!" POP looked amazing! So this July we're off to POP! Actually, in 23days! :earsgirl:

But it's interesting to hear other comments! Housekeeping good/bad. Buses good/bad. Food courts good/bad. I guess you can hear it all!

We have stayed at Movies and POP. They are both great. Themeing is neat at both. If you prefer giant Woodys over giant rubix cubes than go to Movies, but if you prefer giant yo-yos over giant mighty ducks than go to POP.

I prefer POP just a little bit over Movies because Pop only has 1 bus stop and Movies has 3 (the other All Stars). Pop also has the lake and you can see the fireworks at night.

You are really close to MGM from POP, but really close to AK from All-Stars. Either way you are farthest from MK.

Foodcourts are similar, but POP has Mom's Night out meals and stir fry noodles. Otherwise they both have pizza, burgers, grab & go, baked goods, etc.

Maid service was the same at both.
