Hi - I remember a couple of months ago there was a thread running about the closure of the All Star Movies Pool, and that quite a few of you were successful in moving to other resorts. At the time I posted that we were going to stay put at Movies as we are only there for two nights.
Got home from work yesterday and there was a letter from Virgin advising us of the work going on at Movies, it stated that the Mickey pool would be screened off and that there will be noise and disruption between 0900 and 1800, due to this they have taken the decision to move us to Music.
We've not been to Music before so a bit of a change for us - I will need to alter my signature !

I noticed that when I was looking at Music last night - the rooms are being refurbished - hope its not out of the frying pan into the fire !!

Hi this is my first post hope to post lots more here goes we go a letter from virgin aswell saying the same thing but we decided to stay at movies (toy story) its far away from the pool so no noise and shold be quieter as people will be scared off by the "noise" but we will be in the parks between 9 and 6
so hope we have made the right decision great site

we go on friday the 13th :rotfl2:

Hi Tim and welcome - we go on Friday the 13th too !! Which flight are you on ??

the 11am flight on the saturday with virgin cant wait staying at gatwick hilton on the friday hope its not to busy :cool1:

I got a letter today too from virgin we are also being moved to music!
Not sure if this will be better or worse!!
Will have to wait & see!

Hiya Tracey - I have had a chance to look around the DIS and some good comments about Music, seems to be a bit quieter than Movies, I have read some good thins, so fingers crossed ... see you on the 24th

Isn't it just b****y typical!!?? After all the emails and all the begging and persuading I went through to get Virgin to rebook us into Music instead of Movies because of this work, they're now moving everybody as a matter of course!! And to think they wanted me to pay for it as well!! :furious: I wonder if I'd have been offered a refund if I had paid out at the time and then this turn of events took place??? :confused3

Hi I did think of you when I got the letter, I know the hassle you had been through, and now they decide just to move people - you were in my thoughts honest

Thanks Jules! I feel so much better now! Nice to know someone cares. :thumbsup2 :grouphug:

When I got my letter I was quite shocked, I explained to Ian the hassle you had been through, I am happy with their customer service in moving us even though we had contacted them about this. On the other hand I dont see why they made such a fuss with your booking when you contacted them - you are there for much longer than we are so I completely understand why you wouldn't have wanted to put up with the disruption.

Anyway, we are all sorted now and not long to go for us or your family, we are all going to have a great time :thumbsup2

I'll be looking for the lime green around the pool :)

We don't go until the 25th. What date do you return home? We might not have much of an overlap!

I was at Music week before last, they are refurbing one building of Jazz, didn't notice any noise or anything.
