Is it worth it to try to request a king bed at the All Star Music? I know it is a barrier free room. I stayed in one of these at the Wilderness Lodge and really liked it.

Sure, it doesn't cost any more to request one. I stayed in one at ASMusic and yes, it was barrier-free, but surprisingly (and pleasantly) it had a tub and a refrigerator that appeared to work. It was in Jazz #2 (I think that was the number), third floor.

I also thought it didn't cost anything more for a king bed until I got my resort voucher from WDW Travel the other day. When I made my reservation, I requested a non-smoking room, with a king bed, which was noted in the first letter I received from Disney (the one you get after you send the initial deposit). When I received my paper work, after I paid off the room, the voucher states...Standard bedding at this resort is 2 double beds. An upgrade to a King bed may be available for an additional charge. I was never told that when I made the reservation or a second time when I called and got the discount code (she read back my requests so knew I requested the king bed). This is for All Star Music also. I guess I'll find out when I get there next month.
