All right, Richard!!!!!!!!!!!

Back in April we found out that Richard is an insulin dependent diabetic. The poor kid gets numerous injections each day. This morning he gave himself his own injection!!! Wooooooooooo hooooooooooooooooo! I find that pretty spectacular since he is just 10 years old. I found I had diabetes at 13, and for the longest time my sister gave me my injections. He's pretty phenomenal!! The push on this is our holiday trip. I'm planning on getting away with old friends for a day, and he'll be staying with his aunt and cousin. He needs to know how to do this! Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, Richard!

Congratulations Richard!! I remember when I had to take my first shot and I was so scared and I was 28! Been doing it now for 16 years. I'm getting a pump next week and can't wait. I've heard nothing but good things about it. I take five to six shots a day and will not have to do this any more. Have you looked into this at all? Here is the website of the one I'm getting -
