All ressies are for 5, now we are 4 and can't get ressies what to do?

My MIL was going to go with us on our trip, now shes not. I have some great reservations most importantly a 5:00 Hoop de Doo dinner and a 1:35 Cindys lunch booked for 5, but now we are 4. Disney Dining can't change the ressies to 4 people because it is a different table size and there is nothing available. I HAVE to do Cindys, it's the only thing my 5 year old asked for, if I miss Hoop dee doo I guess we can do it another time, but I'd rather do it this time. So for these 2 restaurants what happens if I show up with 4 people when my reservation was for 5? I'm les worried about Cindys since they push so many people through and seem to have more flexibility but what about Hoop de Doo?

Don't change your ressies...just tell them at the Podium when you check in that the 5th person couldn't make it last minute. They won't turn you away that way!!!!

I agree about this, although you will lose the cost of the fifth person's dinner since you have already paid.

If you want to go then, just do it. I have gone from 5 to 4. No big deal. Like the other poster mentioned you will lose out on the money.

We're on the dining plan so I haven't paid yet. Do you think they'll take the extra credits off our card? At Cindys I'm kind of guessing they won't but at Hoop de Doo, I just don't know what they'll do.

I think they will take the credits as cindys you have to pre or at least but a deposit down also. good luck

Any of the ADR's that normally ask for prepayment or a CC guarantee will require you to pay for that person if you show up with 4 instead of the 5 your booked for.

So expect to pay OOP for the 5th person that didn't come. I doubt they will take an extra credit but will instead want payment OOP. Since they can only bill for as many people on the card. 2 A 2 C if that's what your card says not 3 A 2 C to cover the missing person.

If your willing to pay OOP for the person who can't make it at then keep them and go. Maybe they won't charge you at all but be prepared for it in case they do.

I am just the opposite. I have ADR's for 4 and are now 5. I will be there the 18-25th - maybe we can swap some ADR's.

Last summer we had an ADR at Mickey's BBQ prepaid already. My DH got really sick that day could not make the dinner. Because Daddy couldn't go, my kids didn't want to either. We were staying at the Contemporary and when I went to the desk, they said there was nothing they could do and we were out the money. So, I made my kids go since I'm not about to loose all that money. Anyway...once there we explained that we were a party of 4 since my DH was sick and we were given a FULL refund for him. I highly doubt they will charge you an extra credit either, but I guess it is possible.

If you want to try and trade e-mail me at casprelli@yahoo.com and include all your ressies you have for 4 and I'll e-mail you back all the ressies I have for 5! Cool And thanks everyone I'll most likely cancel Hoop dee Doo and keep Cindys. I wouldn't mind paying for the extra person at Cindys if I had to but I'd be mad at Hoop dee Doo plus they are both 2 credit meals and I don't think I want to eat up that many credits anyway. Thanks!
