CanadianGuy said:Question: I booked a package on April 21st for May 29th arrival. Since we were within 45 days, we payed the amount of the package at booking. Originally we were booked into AllStar Music because at the time of the booking, that was the only Value showing availability on all of the dates of our trip. (Or at least that's what we were told)
A few days later, I realized that Pop Century had availability -- and it was my first choice - I called back and they changed the package to Pop Century - but did not mention a charge for the change and no further charges appeared on my credit card.
Do I have a nasty surprise waiting for me at check-in? I hope not, because nobody mentioned anything about change fees, processing fees etc.
Lindsy1052 said:Do you realize you are putting a Disney res agents job at risk by mentioning name....??
this is not true. there is a few people I have talked to several times over the past few years!kinggoofy said:I tend to think that whatever the CM's say, their jobs would not be at risk due to the fact that several Disney honchos are probably reading every single post and laughing their collective "@$$'$"" off at our expense.
Dont you think that every time a CM answers the phone its a different name ?..I do. No one has the same name for every phone call. Be realistic.
So in answer to your question....NO. !!!!!!!!!

You are totally wrong. I know this because up to a week ago I was a CM in DRC for 8 1/2 years. Yes, sometimes we may say something to try and be helpful, but yes we can really get in big time trouble. We do not use a different name on every call, and a good portion of our calls are monitored and scored. If we zero out on a phone call, we lose pay....so yes, please again do not mention names when someone helps you....
kinggoofy said:its a matter of opinion...i have mine..you have yours..and leave it at that !!
Let me ask you a question, if you , being a former CM, know about these boards and how word travels on here, why in holy heck would you give out ANY type of information that can be used on these boards ???
Wouldn't you be weary of your "honcho" bosses lurking on here ? I dont honestly think it matters one iota what is said and mentioned on these boards. Like I said, the honchos are laughing their "@$$'$" off at us right now.
Again..its my opinion. We live in the USA and we have the right to free speech. I respect your opinion...i dont agree with it as you dont agree with mine...and thats all good.
Oh, by the way, I was a rocket scientist up until a week ago !!
Were you a CM one week ago, i dont know, i dont know you. Moral of the story, anyone can say whatever they want on here ( as long as its relatively clean ) but beleiving it is another issue.
Lindsy1052 said:I absolutely respect your opinion. Yes I really worked for DRC up to a week ago when I retired. They are very well aware of these boards and quite frankly there were many times when the public had information that we as CM's were yet to be told about. Very frustrating to us indeed. There are inside people who are giving out information, and one by one they do eventually get caught. We have never really understood the big secrecy behind what they do but we are just little cogs in a very big wheel. Years back we did have knowledge of specials in advance. One of the reasons we do not get them now is to try and keep them under wraps. Hasn't really worked that well as you know. Another very frustrating thing is that we are not allow to proactively offer specials unless guest asks for it. That annoys us no end as we wind up spending hours modifying reservations when we could be selling. People were asking us about the "free dining" for weeks...we found out about it 2 days before it broke, so once again, yes the public knew first. Our argument has always been it makes us look like idiots. I could write a book on the things DRC does, but I won't bend your ear anymore....![]()
