I've just paid the balance for our October trip with WDTC and BA! :cool1: I know a lot of people would think I'm crazy for paying it off months and months before it's due but I had some money through and figured it's one less thing to worry about. Not only that it means that no matter what....WE GOING BACK TO OUR HAPPY PLACE!!!

To be honest, with non-existent interest rates on savings at the moment, it probably doesn't make that much difference. Your final payment would have probably been due in August anyway so only 2-3 months early. It's a great feeling knowing it's been paid and you can relax and look forward to the holiday now :cool1:

In the past we have paid off the balance on an interest free card, paid the minimum each month, then the rest at the end,but with the rising one off fee and low interest savings rates, its just not worth it now.

It's a good feeling isn't it?:goodvibes I toyed with not doing it until later but what with rubbish interest rates it really didn't make a whole lot of difference..
We are going in November and we also paid it off yesterday.:)
Not only that we also paid our mortgage off yesterday, now that was a fantastic feeling.:cool1: (DH took redundancy so his lump sum paid that off) May not get back to WDW for ages unless he gets another job though...it'll be a tent in the back garden:rotfl:

Wow, what a great feeling to have your mortgage paid - congratulations :cool1:

As far as finding another job, I will keep my fingers crossed for him. My DH was made redundant in October, was on 'gardening leave' until December and was out of work and claiming jobseekers for precisely 3 weeks before landing a temporary job for 6 weeks. By the time that job was finished, he had a permanent job :thumbsup2 So there is hope, good luck to him :goodvibes

thank you....
he doesn't seem in too big a rush to get back out there (in the job market that is not WDW!!) I am becoming a nagging wife:rotfl:

Neither was my DH - but I am already a nagging wife and I didn't give him much choice :rotfl2:
