OK just let me vent, I am mad! It takes alot to get me mad. I am a pretty easy going person, etc. Today I had to make some phone calls, I am so sick of never being able to talk to a real live person!

Welcome to the Main Menu: Press 1 for English, Press 2 for Spanish, at the end of your call would you like to participate in a "short" survey, if so Press 1 for yes, or Press 2 for no.

No enter or say your ID #, blah. blah. blah. OK I heard this, Press 1 if this is correct, Press 2 if this is not the number.

OK so you all have been there and you know what I'm talking about! After 20 minutes of this garbage, I still can not get the answer or speak to a person. I'm telling you this is my biggest pet peeve!

DH came in from work and that is just what I said when I got so mad after twenty minutes of this "Rigamaroll" I said they could "Kiss My Country Style Butt" and hungup!

I know what you mean!! What is even worse is the ones you have to "speak"....for some reason they can't understand me!!! When they repeat what I said it is usually not even close!!!

I couldn't agree more. As much as possible I avoid giving any business to any firm that uses automatic phone machines.

I also won't buy anything from a business that screams at me during a TV commercial.

I have found that on the ones that want you to speak your answers, if you just say customer service to every question they ask, you will get a real person.

As a travel agent, I spend a good deal of my day dealing with these situations. There is one company that makes you go through several choices and then says:

For Mexico press 1

That's it! No other choice! Silliest thing ever invented.

This is my biggest pet peeve of all! I especially hate the ones that are voice response. It never fails, I will get half way through and one of dds will scream at the other one and screw the whole system up and I have to start over. I miss the good ole days when an actual person picked up the phone and said "hello"!
