All of a sudden no replies?????

I can't figure out what's going on now - for the last few days I'm not getting any replies to threads that I've either started or become a part of. I'm just confused because this has never happened before. Any help?? Any suggestions?

I did a search under your name and it looks like there are several threads where you posted and then there are messages after . . . . . some yesterday . . . so I'm not sure where the issue is--maybe for some reason you're not seeing new messages? I would email one of the mods if you're not seeing new messages in the threads you're posting in, because I looked at three or four and they all had replies (not necessarily direct to you or quoting you) after your message.

Do you mean no one is actually replying to the threads, or that you aren't getting the emails when you have a reply?

This is a great example - several of you have replied and they're great answers, but I didn't get any of the replies in email form like I had been. Must be something I'm doing so I'll have to email one of the moderators.

LOL--I have NEVER gotten emails telling me when there were replies to my threads . . .so I'm sure I'm not set up for that. I have seen other people post that they have had a similar problem to the one you are having.

Oh, and if there are mods listening--I don't want email notification! I get enough emails as it is!

Okay, got it now. You just aren't getting the emails. Chances are good that it has NOTHING to do with you. But to make sure just double check your User CP and make sure your options are still set for email notification when you subscribe to a thread.


Emails have been a bit spotty lately. I get some PM notification emails a day or 2 later, and this week has been one of those weeks. Sometimes it is because things are being tweaked in our systems here, and sometimes (most often) it is your email provider.

If you have a spam/junk/bulk mail folder check that to be sure they aren't going in there. It could be your provider has decided we are spam (HOW DARE THEY!) and could be blocking them all together.

The easiest thing is to just log in and go to the toolbar up top to the right and click on Quick Links and select Subscribed threads on the drop down menu. That will show you the threads you are interested and if there are new posts (the title will be in bold).

Yep, you just aren't set up that way and I don't blame you! We won't adjust your settings! I used to subscribe with emails but had to stop when I got more active. I still will occasionally manually hit "daily email" on a thread I am really interested in that maybe doesn't have many posts.

The funny thing is that someone recently bumped up a post I had subscribed to a LOOOOOONG time ago and it is active again. So I am getting emails on it regularly and I need to go and unsub. to it.

The e-mail thing keeps messing up. Don't worry - it's not you. Since some of the upgrades to the boards I've been having on/off problems with receiving e-mail notifications. I'll go for a couple of days without any of my notifications (as I've noticed it's doing today) and then suddenly my e-mail inbox will be flooded with all the e-mails at once.

Do check your subscribed threads by clicking on UserCP so when the flood of e-mails does hit your in-box you're current on your threads and can just quickly delete the notifications.
