All of a sudden 3/3 is a crowd level 10?

TP updates monthly so I know things can change. It doesn't matter anyway because I have the plane tickets. But, why is March 3rd suddenly a 10 across the board? Seems like random Tuesday. Can't seem to find an event that happens that day, either.

Typical; the first week of March used to have moderate crowd levels. Now because my family will be there that week, even Kenny the Pirate is predicting HEAVY crowd levels. Ugh!

Last update seems to be wrong for my trip. The days next April between Easter and star wars run weekend have gone done. The weekdays after run weekend have gone up and are now higher then the week after Easter

No idea why it is showing as so busy that day, but clearly the TP crowd calendar needs further updating. On March 4 of that same week MMRR opens and the HS crowd level is listed as only a 6 on that day.

I don’t buy it. I’ve been going that week annually for nearly two decades. It’s never been anywhere close to a 10.

I remember last year they raised that week to a 10, right around this time, then they went back down again mid-Feb. it honestly sounds like such a guessing game. :confused3

Yeah, I got that email today. AK going from a 5 to a 10 on that Tuesday?! Most of the early U.S. spring breaks don't start until the end of the week. We were hoping to miss the worst of spring break crowds by arriving at the end of Feb. Sigh. Crossing my fingers that this is a blip and not what I will truly experience.

I really wouldn’t worry about it. First week of March had never been an issue and there is zero reason to think it will this year. Just think about it— do you really think Christmas sized crowds are going to show up the first week of March— before spring break— when that has never happened in any prior year?

Fyi, TP now says there was an error in the data for the first week of March and so the crowd calendar is being adjusted.

Might have something to do with the opening of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. I thought it was 3/4 though.

I always thought you could pretty much write-off March & April as spring break time. The weather's nice and the parks get slammed. Depending on your feelings about hot weather, I think I'd prefer dealing with the crowds rather than the oppressive heat of summer.:)

Yup.

Since the original question posed in this thread has now been proven to be based on erroneous but now corrected Touring Plans data, closing to avoid confusion.
