Man, my wife and I hate that ride, but unfortunately our DD12 loves it!

Same here- I feel like I got hit by a truck after riding that but my DD7  LOVES:love: it.

One of the things that always get's us on this ride and makes us laugh is the ride soundtrack at the very end of the ride. It says something like, "Please stand up before exiting, Bye bye".

So wat do they think, we are gonna crawl out? :rotfl2:

Dd11 and I did this oen twice last week, the first time was great, we both got off the second time saying that may have been a mistake!:rotfl2:

Okay - I feel much better this morning after getting my Disney photo fix. I'm stuck at home with a sick kid (poor thing!), so what a better way to spend the morning than on this board, huh?

Here's my silly POTD - Mick (Pal Mickey) and friend Rexley at the Boneyard:

NikkiLovesWDW!, great picture and story with Chip! Great to see you back and can't wait to see more...

hobbester, nice action shot - and great composition on the juggler at Italy pavilion...

Code, great shot on the Pooh ride! I tried the same shot but failed miserably... :lmao:

scrapbookersdis, cool picture of the monorail from high above!

2angelsinheaven, great shots of Fantasmic here and here, and also the Beauty and the Beast stage show... it looks like you're enjoying that new dSLR :thumbsup2

budcollector, great idea for a picture - the starting line so to speak... one of my favorite parts of the day - you just can't hardly beat that feeling :cloud9:

wdwensel, WOW very nice castle / fireworks shot!

Circusgirl, what a cool picture of a pink flamingo - love the dark background!

Code, another amazing fireworks shot! The castle looks to be in grave danger. :scared1:

willis37862, love the Expedition Everest shot - great contrast and colors!

Joe- I think you did a GREAT job catching the moving tiger, and the fact you captured such an interesting, colorful background, really make your picture stand out! Oh nooooo- NAS strikes again! Sounds like it's time to think about an f/2.8 lens...:scared1: Good job!

Thanks Alan, but this was actually shot with the 18-135 lens all the way out at 135mm, with ISO1600 and f5.6... But I know what you mean, if money were no object, I'd be havin' me one of them...
°O°Joe - I know this one is from a few days ago, but it's just so that great I had to comment! Seriously, if you had said it was a painting, I would have believed you! Fantastic! :thumbsup2 :wizard:
Thanks!
If I may ask Joe and Jeff, what do both of you guys feel are the advantages of the Sigma 30mm 1.4 over say the Nikon 50mm 1.8 (other than being a faster lens)? It wouldn't quite be considered a wide-angle lens, would it? Thanks, ~Alan
Basically what Jeff said - but also it made the most sense for me with the D40, since it has an internal focusing motor, which I need unless I want to manual focus... also, I found that 30mm is very comfortable and a good average. I think 50mm might be a little close on some of the dark rides and indoor shots, but I don't know, I've seen some pretty great ones...
My DH has been disappointed in the past that Roger Rabbit is nowhere to be found in WDW...that is until our latest trip when we saw this ;)
FYI, I've heard that little obscure references to Roger Rabbit can be found all over Disney's Hollywood Studios... I guess you just need to know what to look for.

This is the way that I do it. When you see a photo you like and want to comment on, click on the Post Count Number that is located on the upper right hand corner of the post. That will open a separate window on your computer with just that post located on it. Copy the URL, then when you open your "Reply to Thread" box, use the "Insert Link" icon button (the world with a link that's located below the smiley face), and paste the link in the dialog box that opens. Hit enter. Then the link will be placed as text in the Reply to Thread box.

You will see that a portion of this new text is highlighted in blue - this is an area that you can type what you want (i.e., the description of the photo), then hit enter, and that is what will show up in your message as the hyperlinked text.

Let me know if this is as clear as mud and you need more help. It's kinda hard to describe what to do sometimes...

Good Luck!

Anne,

The easiest way for me is to open up the post with the picture in a separate window (most browsers will do this automatically when you click on the post link). Each post has its own clickable link (for example Jeff's rollercoaster post at the top of the page is #2221) up in the right hand corner of the post. Once it opens up in a new window, right click anywhere on the image and left click the option "copy image address", or "copy image location", or if you are using Internet Explorer - choose "properties" and highlight and copy the address from the properties box. Once you have the image url copied, go to your post and highlight the word(s) you want to turn into a link to the picture. Then click the link button at the top of the post box (picture of the Earth with a chain link) and paste the image url in the pop up box by right clicking and choosing "paste" or by hitting crtl + v.

Hope this helps.

(aha, quiltymom beat me to it... I'll leave it up because my method is slightly different...)
