I wish I had never seen it. Both my younger brother and sister went through phases where they were obsessed with the movie and watched it over and over and over again. Sheer torture!

Of course I have seen it and I also own it.

There's room for everyone in this world, if everyone makes some room.

I have never seen it. I haven't even seen the Wizard of Oz the whole way through but I have seen Gone with the Wind about 15 times. :thumbsup2

I saw it in the theatres, my dad even bought me a t-shirt. Picture a trendy black tee with a HUGE Elliott on it! Then he gave me the "Candle on the Water" single-that song will always remind me of my dad!

My kids adore the movie...they're channelling my dad, I suppose. I just can't stand Pete singing flat-otherwise, it's a great movie.

How many of your coworkers have seen Tron is a better question! It's pretty bad when you've got three DVD versions, vhs AND laser disc, lol!

:rotfl2:
Ah yes...Tron. :thumbsup2

My parents took us to see this at a Drive In theater when we were about 5. It was the first movie, I think Tron was second. That was the first and only drive in movie I ever saw since they don't have them around here anymore.

I've seen it in stores, but I've never watched it. Where do you work that you get to pick movies to watch?

Gotta love "Pete's Dragon"!!! I had the album with the book inside and I listened to that thing all the time as a kid. We went to WDW in like 1979 and Elliot was in the Electrical Parade with Pete sitting on him...so cool, I still remember that!

Now, DD's 9 and 11, found it boring and I'm not sure they finished watching it. :confused3

I remember watching this at school aged about 7 years old in the early 80's. It was before videos were mainstream and about 45 of us were in the huge schoolroom and it was one of those old projectors where the tape goes from one spool to the other. Used to love end of term when we got to watch a good movie in schooltime :) BTW loved the film as well :teeth:

Claire ;)

Sure, I have seen it as a kid and as an adult. Used to be one of dd's favorite movies. :)

I had never seen Pete's Dragon until I bought the VHS for my kids. I loved the musical numbers!

Oh,yes, there is just something about that movie. We haven't seen it for quite some time,I may just have to get it out and have a family movie night!

When one of our boys was little he called it Pete's n Dragon. We still call it that to this day! :goodvibes

:thumbsup2 It's one of my sister's favorite movies actually. :) We love it!!! A dragon, a dragon, I swear I saw a dragon! Our favorite character is Doc Terminus.

Claire, that's funny, I remember watching this at my elementery school in the early 80s on a reel to reel projector, it was great. We would watch it occasionally when we would have special "fun" days and the weather wouldn't allow us to be outside playing.

I haven't seen the movie in several years, and after reading this thread I definately have to check it out again soon. I do remember loving it as a kid!

Wow!!! what a flashback!!! I loved that movie!!!
A dragon, a dragon...I think I saw a dragon!!!!! :lmao:
