I was thinking of you when watching those ridiculous scenes with Ditsie and Tad, the other day, Aprille! I can't believe how selfish she's being. Like she really expects Tad to believe that she's in one of her "I need to do something for ME!" modes again. How many of them have there been? (ie: when she went back to school to become a teacher....and wound up with Jason obsessed with her, then became a holier-than-thou b_ _ _ _, thus driving Tad into Liza's arms. Then when she got her job with David.) And all of a sudden she remembers she has a sister, after all these years? I can't even remember the last time that Lainie was mentioned! I don't hate her, and I think that Cady McLaine is a good actress, but I just find the character so annoying and inconsistent.

I loved those scenes with Vanessa and Maggie, yesterday! I will really miss Marj Dusay when they ultimately lock Vanessa up in Oak Haven or send her away to Statesville! She's doing an amazing job with all of this "instability"! And I'm glad that we finally know what her motivation was to become "Proteus" (that also explains why she's always calling David "ungrateful").

You're right, Mary Jo - how could Greenlee and Jake's boat travelled so far if it was leaking so much that it ultimately sank? I guess Leo and his pilot didn't have to travel too far "south" to find them, after all! (Though I still insist that that island must be off the coast of NJ! Maybe Bruce Springsteen will write a song about it!) I also like Greenlee with Jake and I loved the things that he said to her the other day. I do like Greenlee with Leo, too, but I guess if I had the choice in "real life", I would pick Jake! I think that Leo is going to get a chance to really show is acting ability, in the upcoming episodes - I can just picture the scene when he finally confronts Vanessa and realizes an acknowledges what she really is, for the first time. David and Anna together are actually kind of growing on me! I like the fact that he respects her and finally recognizes that she really cares about him and is seeing that he cares for her, too. I cannot imagine him with anyone else in PV - except maybe Greenlee or Kendall when they're in their "bad girl modes". I liked him with Erica, but I think that Anna is better suited to him, now.

Lisa, Lisa, Lisa - you obviously don't understand the delicate Ditsie psyche. She is not being selfish. She is being selfLESS. I absolutely hated that Tad gave her the justification she needed (in her own deluded mind) to not tell him about the pregnancy when he brought up her last pregnancy and how he would choose her again over a baby.

I don't hate her, and I think that Cady McLaine is a good actress, but I just find the character so annoying and inconsistent.

I'll say this again as we do have some new faces on the thread. I use to like Ditsie. Really, I did! The character has been destroyed to accommodate Cady McClain's last two exits. Lisa spells it out well in her last post. I don't consider the character inconsistent anymore though. I think she's been consistently pathetic since before her last exit.

Looks like it will be a long pregnancy for Dixie. I just read that Cady McClain will be taking a roloe on As The World Turns. I don't think she'll be able to get out of that contract to come back to AMC with a baby in 6 months. Do you think that AMC would even entertain the thought of casting another actress in that role?

What?!?! Cady's leaving AMC and taking a role on another soap? That makes no sense. Well, wait a minute - it makes Ditsie sense. Maybe the character she's been playing so long is rubbing off on her. LOL!

Okay, so who else thinks Vanessa is the one who got shot? Leo grabbed for the gun, they struggled, the gun went off, Vanessa was shot. Maybe this is how they are writing her out. I will miss Marj Dusay. She has done a great job with this storyline. Hey, twins run in the family. Maybe she can come back as the sweet twin sister. Vanessa is obviously the evil twin.

The end of the show cracked me up today! When Vanessa's eyes popped open I thought, ohmygosh, now she's a VAMPIRE!

Hey, did we know before today that Simone was Dr Whats-his-name's daughter? Somehow before I got the impression that he was her boyfriend. Either I totally misinterpreted the situation or they were leading us on.

Hey Everyone!

Sorry that I haven't been able to pop in, lately, but I haven't been able to get on the Boards for the past 2 days! Every time I've tried, I've gotten that "server busy" message!

Yeah, I knew that Vanessa wasn't dead.......she's too clever for that! And I also thought that they were leading us to believe that the Dr. is Simone's boyfriend.....not her father! What's that all about? Will he become a regular character? There must be some reason that they made a point to let us know their relationship!

Once again, I refrained from reading the spoilers, but if this week is as good as last week (generally) was, then we're in for some more excitement, this week!

So......have we seen the last of Ditsie??? Can't believe that she may be on ATWT! I doubt that they would ever re-cast the role. Maybe she will pop in with the baby when her ATWT story line is on the "back burner", or something (??)

PamOKW and IASW - glad to know I wasn't alone thinking the good doctor was Simone's boyfriend - not her father. When it was revealed yesterday it kind of made me go EWWWW.

What was up with Mateo and Hayley yesterday?! Mateo went into psycho mode with David and Mateo and Hayley were both so mean to Simone. I don't like Simone and I know Mateo and Hayley have been through alot but I thought their behavior yesterday was a little over the top. Made me feel a little sorry for Simone but then maybe that was the point.

I too thought the Dr. was Simone's boyfriend.
I was also LOL when Greenlee offered to shoot Vanessa. Too funny!
I knew Vanessa wouldn't be dead....that would be too easy!!

I know that I've missed a lot lately, but isn't Simone the reason Chris got shot? Didn't she call someone to tell them that Ryan had the disc, and they called Vanessa, who then told them to take out Ryan and Chris got in the way? I would think that this would be a good reason for Hayley and Mateo to be hard on her. She was supposed to be helping them, and she betrayed one of their friends.
I've never seen that DR. before so I had no idea who he was when he showed up.
I laughed out loud at Greenlee's offer to take out Vanessa! That was SO funny! I also wasn't surprised when she was still alive. That would have been a big let-down for an end of the story.

Yes, Simone is the reason that Chris got shot. But my understanding is that she was duped by someone pretending to offer her a good job when in reality they were working for Proteus and just using her for information. She thought she was giving information to a possible future employer, not Proteus. Of course Mateo and Hayley don't know all that but still. And Mateo in psycho mode with David at the jail was very ugly in my opinion. Didn't like it at all! Especially the torture talk.

Maybe I just have a low tolerance when it comes to Mateo and Hayley. They do tend to get on my last nerve on occasion. Yesterday was one of those occasions. They've even got me defending Simone for crying out loud! LOL! That's bad, very bad!

Only on the soaps do they declare a person dead before finding the body! Vanessa's eyes popping open also reminded of all the vampires on PC!

Mateo is such an ugly character. He's become so mean with all this Proteus stuff. They need to work hard to make him likable again.

I know what you mean, Aprille - I almost felt sorry for Simone yesterday, too! I don't like when Hayley gets all "superior" - it reminds me of another blonde character on the show that we all know and love! And yes, Mateo has been acting like a big jerk, lately. Maybe when this is all over, they'll have them going back to being a happy, domestic family (where the heck IS that baby, that they hoped and prayed for, for years, and wanted to have so badly??? They've spent exactly 1/2 hour with the poor kid since he was born!).......and then Arlene will show up, again! I also thought that it was pretty creepy, the way that Simone's father was touching her - something about it didn't seem very......fatherly, for some reason! Greenlee does get the best lines - and she always delivers them perfectly, too! I really hope that she wins an Emmy, this year! And what about Erica and Anna's plan to fool Chris into thinking that the FBI is sending a doctor to evaluate him? I think that if Chris finds out the truth, he will just want to get farther away from Erica (or maybe assume that she's still in love with David, herself). It was so funny when she was trying to stuff that chocolate covered strawberry into his mouth, yesterday - the poor guy is laid up in the hospital, can't move his legs, and is otherwise in pain, and she thinks that she can have the equivalent of a romantic picnic with him in his hospital room!

I know this is just TV but... How can Simone be the Dr.'s daughter, she doesn't look one bit African American to me???
