Hi Everyone!

Well, since you're all so kind and diplomatic, when it comes to Maddie, you probably all think that I am totally evil, for referring to her as "BrattyMaddie"! I'm really a nice person, and not a child hating idiot! But that kid just gets on my nerves! And I can't stand the way that Ed-dumb lets her just put Mia down, again and again, and never makes a serious attempt to discipline her. Even though she's been through more than any child should, at her age (being kidnapped by Erica as a newborn, losing her mother, going through 2 prospective step mothers - neither of whom married her father - having her mother come back and not remember her, etc.......), she should still learn to respect other people. I hope that they don't kill off her character, though - she was supposedly Maria's one chance at having a child. Even though Maddie's being in the hospital will most likely bring back Maria's memory, it would be a shame if they killed her off. And - as always - where the heck is Sam?????

I thought it was totally hillarious, yesterday, when they showed Carlos in the TV monitor, motioning to Simone that he didn't know what he was doing, then immediately putting on that Mateo-like suave expression as soon as the camera started rolling and he started doing his pitch for Fusion! I can't believe that they're going to have Simone in jail again, either. Well, maybe she'll FINALLY get together with Kenny, when he bails her out of trouble, THIS time!

Tad and BoydBoydBoyd went to seek out the lady who sued Fusion and "framed" Enchantment on their own, together??? Whatever! I'm sure that we'll hear about Gertrude being murdered, or something, as soon as Michael finds out that she betrayed him by dropping the suit!

It's nice that they're dressing Liza in a color other than grey, lately! It's much more pleasant to see her happy and active than just skulking about the Chandler mansion, fighting with Adam!

I'll bet that Erica really WILL marry Jack, this time. She hasn't been married to anyone in awhile, and I think that AMC knows that the fans would generally like to see her marry Jack, after all of these years.

As far as Sam - I thought that the other day when Maddie was playing soccer with A & M. I was like this kid must think he is an outcast. Just because M was not his real mom she dont love him? That poor kid probably has one heck of a bad complex. if he doesnt then he should!! That is what I want to see. Sam come in and be like why dont mom and dad ever do anything with me?? Poor kid.

I'm missing a few years of AMC, so can someone give me some history. Who is Sam's mother?

Her name was Kelsey and I think if I remember correctly she was a Martin? Tara's daughter I think. Was there a Tara Martin? There was this big thing about a Martin Grandbaby not being raised a Martin. Something like that. Sam's father was Bobby Warner who was Cliff Warners son? I may be confused here, this was so long ago and the storylines with the parents of Bobby and Kelsey were on long before I watched the show.

Kelsey was a pregnant teen and didn't want the baby, if I remember correctly. Maria and Edmund could not have the baby so they begged her to keep it and then let them adopt it. I remember for a while she lived at Wierdwind with Eddy and Maria and Bobby may have lived there too, I don't recall. Like I said, my memory on this storyline isn't as clear as some others because it was kind of boring (to me anyway.) Anyway the Martins got wind that their granddaughter was going to give away a Martin and tried to stop her but then realized that Edmund and Maria would be good parents and Kelsey wasn't ready to be a mom yet. That is why Sam is strawberry blonde because Kelsey and the Bobby were blonde. (At least the writers are keeping some continuity here.) I am sure there are some other AMC experts that can fill in the blanks I have left.

Well I think you explained it well. I was not watching the show much back then either so I can not lend any more help. You would think though that the Martins would want to be close to both kids just so they can be around Sam some. Oh wait, we are talking about a Soap. They probably forgot that Sam is related to them.

My pleasure. It was like a trip down memory lane trying to remember all that.. I do have to say, that I had watched AMC religiously for almost 12 years, but have missed episodes here and there now for over 2 months. Kind of sad actually, but a testament to the poor storylines...

My wife and I have always commented on how AMC has this tendency to kill off kids, so aiming a gun at a child doesn't surprise me. It is kid of 'icky' though...
