Hello and welcome to my little trip report! I am so excited to be heading back to WDW! I was in FL in December for a conference and it was painful walking by the Magical Express stations....:confused3

Ugghhhh..... We did not get to go to one park:rotfl2:

On the bright side, the weather was beautiful:) and....

Thank the Good Lord....DH and I will be in returning to WDW in May!!!!!:cool1: I am praying for a pixie dust filled trip! We will be celebrating our 5th anniversary by taking a 3 day Cruise on the Disney Dream and spending a few days at AKL afterwards!

Beautiful AKL:

About Me:
Nichelle, born in the 80's, loves old school Disney movies, reading, ballet, and people with a goofy sense of humor like myself:) Really, I am just a silly, goofy girl who laughs at everything and always has a smile on my face

About DH:
DH is a little bit older than me..he was born in the 70's and is a bit more pragmatic. I guess you could say he is more grounded in reality than I am :)
However, he loves Disney as much as I do! He loves Cars...lol, and all the new Marvel/Disney movies. He is also an artist and I am amazed at how talented he is!

And....just for fun here is me dressed like a hot dog

Told you I am silly:) Well, we have just about 3 months to go so I guess it is time to get this party started! Next up ADR's!

P.S. The picture of AKL is from Disney and the picture of the Dream is from Allears which has loads of good information:)

I'm following along! What are your dates for May? DH and I will also be at AKL in May :goodvibes I haven't started a PTR yet but was hoping to start one in the next couple of days. Is this your first visit to AKL?

Hi All!

I am trying to figure out where to eat the night before our cruise....so many choices! I have it down to Ohana or Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue; we have never been to either. So, which would you choose?

This?

Ohana, a tropical paradise that literally means family, where in the words of Stitch "Nobody gets left behind"

or

That?

A Spirited Western show with what looks like yummy down home "cookin" and a all around good time!

What do you think?

Pictures from WDW Info:)

Since you've got the goofy sense of humour, I'd do the Whoop-de-doo. It is all about the goofy! :)

Hi, following along! I see you are arriving May 5 - which cruise are you doing? We will be on the Dream on May 9th! But we aren't doing WDW this time - we can't fit it in in May. We will be there in August though.

I love your ADR choices...they look similar to mine! HDDR is a lot of fun, so you would probably enjoy that. I have only eaten at Ohana for breakfast, but am planning on trying it in August. Some people on the boards have told me that it's not so easy to get an ADR there anymore, so maybe see if it is even available for your date, and that may help you make the decision.

Thanks...I love that..."It is all about the goofy" Too cute! I am just wondering if DH will like it too lol:)

Hey! August must be insanely hot! Sometimes, when we are there in May, I feel like I am going to melt:) We are on the May 2. I am happy your ADRs are similar...sometimes I worry about the restaurants we have. I just showed DH HDDR and he was like no way...I am going to have to convince him that it will be funny. He is very low-key and does not like attention lol:)

:rotfl: I can totally see why he said that. I avoided (and I mean avoided!) HDDR for years and years...I thought it was so silly. I traveled with a large group of family/friends a few years ago, and the option to do HDDR was taken out of my hands as one member of the group treated us to a night there. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised - and my kids fell in love so now they keep asking to go back. I avoided it the past few trips, but will give in this time.

That said, being that you are trying to decide between the two, go for Ohana...there's always next time for HDDR if you DH isn't into it this time.

August is HOT, but we've done it so many times now we are used to it. I used to swear I would never go in the summer, but then the kids got too old to take out of school, and holidays are horrendous crowd-wise, so end of summer it is! If I could choose any week, I would go end of January/beginning of Feb or the week after Thanksgiving.

I have always wanted to go in Feb! I seems like it would be such a nice time with low crowds!! I showed DH another video of HDDR and he seemed to warm up to it a little bit so I am still hoping to go!

One of the tips I learned from the DIS is to watch Disney movies before your trip to get excited:happytv:! I love old school Disney movies so for Feb/March I mixed up some new movies and some old for DH and I to watch:3dglasses. Here is the list below...This Sunday we are going to watch Wreck It Ralphpopcorn::. I am going to make Nuts and Bolts which is like Chex Mix, "Mighty" Chicken Wings, little pizzas shaped like xbox controllers and a green salad! I will take pictures and post next week.

P.S. If you ever need ideas about party foods etc..check out Alysa's PTR she has some very cute ideas that go along to different movies:)

Aww - you are a darling! :goodvibes
I love your calendar - what a great idea - my kids would love that! I can't wait to hear about your details - your Wreck-it Ralph day sounds so much more exciting than mine (we did cherries!) ;)

Hi! DH and I love playing video games so I think that the movie will be really fun:) I love your movie days! You have given me a lot of good ideas!

I am super excited for to see the new Fantasyland expansion @ MK! I can't wait. For the past couple of years when we have gone to MK it seems as though it has been under heavy construction which has been a bummer at times.

What I am wearing:
y.jpg

Lilly Pulitzer Buttercup shorts purchased on sale

-Must have lip-gloss, this is the best stuff ever! It moisturizes without getting that tacky feeling and is very refreshing.

-Sunblock...ugghh my skin is so sensitive and it burnsssss!!!! Normally people with darker skin tones don't burn but I guess I can thank my grandmother's genes for that one. My skin starts to sting and then it gets very hot and then it burns...it is awful! Anyway I use the baby sunblock because it protects without irritating my skin!

-My Melody mini-hairbrush/mirror is my best friend in the parks because it is small enough that I can put in my pocket! I hate carrying bags because I am prone to lose things:)

03-Journey-Little-Mermaid.jpg

This is my plan for our day @ MK

8:00-Arrive @ MK for our ADR @ Crystal Palace.

I hope to be finished by about 8:45

First order of the day is to get FPs for the new Little Mermaid Ride. When I was little I was kind of obsessed with the Little Mermaid. I even remember getting little Flounder toys in my Happy meal! If it is not to crowded I hope to ride and then come back later and ride again with my FP.

After getting FPs for JOTLM we will go to Adventureland and then just wonder around for the rest until about 1:00.

After 1, back to the hotel and rest a little

We have 6ish ADR's at BOGR so we will go back to MK around 5

Must Do's-

-Journey of the Little Mermaid
-Storybook Circus
-Splash Mountain
-Haunted Mansion
-Peter Pan
-Pirates
-People Mover
-Space Mountain
-Swiss Tree House-I love this...so much...DH hates it but goes on it for me
-Tom Sawyer Island
-Buzz Lightyear- We have never been on this before...I don't know how we miss it!

I used to love watching Darby O'Gill and the Little People when I was a kid! :thumbsup2 Your movie list sounds fantastic. The outfit you picked out for MK is adorable. I think the shorts are my favorite part, I love lace and the bottoms look like they have lace trimming. Cute!
