All is right with the world... my daughter is home

Got home with Alyssa yesterday at 4am (thanks to severe thunderstorms in Dallas for that). Fortunately I took yesterday off work and we went to play mini-golf, play on the playground, ride on the merry-go-round, etc.

Anyway, now y'all don't have to listen to me counting down the days anymore

Your posts have made me thankful that I'm a single mom. While there are times I may say I wish I had to share, I know I'm so lucky that I don't. Honestly, I don't know how you made it through the summer.

I wish there were more single dads like you, too many of the ones I have met in the past saw their daddy time as some kind of "duty" to get through.

Dan, me too... that's why we watched a movie last night and made popcorn

clutter, trust me, the summer was WAYYYYYY too long!

But hey, I'm a pretty lucky guy. There are certainly times when it's stressful, aggravating, etc. And, obviously, single moms/dads don't have anyone else to take some of the workload. But it's all worth it every day when I pick her up from daycare and get a big hug and a smile.
