All I Want for Christmas is...A WDW Vacation!! UPDATE pg 35 - Leaving today!!

So I found the CUTEST bags online to hold the gift contents for the kids!! Which one do you like better?? There are 6 in each set which is perfect. I am guessing that they give you multiples of the designs shown. Which one do you prefer?? They are both right around the same price; $12 for 6 bags which is right in the budget! Score! :cool1:

Please give me your thoughts! Thanks!

I like the first set best! :goodvibes

I really do too!! My only concern with the 1st one is that 3 of the 5 kids are boys, and if I get 2 of each design....one of them looks a bit pink to me (it appears there are 2 with Mickey and 1 with Minnie). But maybe that's just the way it looks on the screen. And the 3 year old wouldn't care, he's just 3 :goodvibes so maybe the two older boys will get the red ones, and then the two girls will have the Minnie ones.

Thanks for the vote! :thumbsup2

And I am hooked!! Those people are talented!!! :wizard:

I don't want matching shirts for the whole trip, but what I would like to get is maybe a shirt for each of us girls, and then one each for the kids in their gift bags. If I am reading these threads right, a lot of people get the PDFs and then just make iron-on transfers from them; that would be sweet!!!

I would really like to get a cute Mickey head in safari gear for AK, and then perhaps get the kids each their favorite character. I am torn, they are all so cute!!!!! They are so talented!! :worship:

Hi!! I'm subscribing!!! I'm looking forward to your TR!! Sounds like it's going to be a good one :)

Oh and I love design number 1. So cute.

Hi - welcome!!! :yay: Thanks for coming over!

That makes 2 votes for design #1; I think I will go with that. I just can't beat the price and they are just darling! :cutie:

Thanks again for reading, I'll make it as interesting as I can! :rotfl:

Take care!

Hi readers -

Hope everyone had a nice weekend! It was SO COLD here!! And today they are saying we might get some snow flurries - that is just unacceptable! :scared1: Oh well - a nice night to curl in front of the fireplace and do some trip planning, I guess!!

My last real hurdle before this trip is to lose some more weight. Without getting into TMI territory - I have a "female issue" where I have very painful cycles. So for nearly the last 4 years, I have been on the bc shot. Big mistake. Sure, I didn't have debilitating pain anymore, but it's a steroid (no one told me that!! :headache:) and so I have been steadily gaining weight the past few years, about 50 lbs. Yuck!! It makes me so mad!

I have been off the shot for about 4 months now and slowly but surely, I am starting to be able to lose weight. I've lost about 10 lbs so far but would like to lose another 15 before we go to Disney. I think that's do-able; that averages out to about 1.5 lbs per week, which is safe and I think I can do it.

Just wanted to share with my friends cause I think I will need some support in this - it's just been emotionally hard to gain this weight and have such a hard time taking it off. I know the most important thing about a person is their inside spirit and their heart, but I would still like my outside to be a thinner one than I am now. :goodvibes

Thank you, everyone! Now I am off to read the rest of Lady Lallie's PTR...I am on page 10 of 50 right now, have to read more before she updates again!! Have a great Monday!
good luck on the weight loss- i feel for you- i have horrible PMS as well. right now, i just take prescription naproxen. I haven't been in on BC in over 10 years and will never be again. We want another child and had to to in vitro to have our first after two years of trying and a year of fertility treatments, so no BC for us- we want to be preggo! lol but that time of the month is horrible for me too. It can be so debilitating with back pain, headaches and stomach pain that it affects me to the point of missing work (or being miserable at work all day). you aren't alone there.

great work on the weight loss and i am cheering you on for the rest!!!!

oh and i vote for set #2- i just like all the characters together like that. :goodvibes

:thumbsup2 Sounds like a plan!

I bet Claire will be good - our 3 year old cousin sat really well. The only thing is that he didn't want to do is wear his glasses - he kept saying "I don't have to wear glasses!" :lmao:

Try it and let me know how she does!

Well, as you probably read on FB, Claire did AMAZINGLY well!! She sat still the entire time we were at the movies!! We all had a GREAT time seeing the movies!! :goodvibes

Thanks for checking out my TR. I'm curious to see what plans you have in store for Christmas in WDW. My DW says she wants to go and see all the lights someday soon. I wonder if that means this year?:confused3

You're so sweet!! Thank you for the kind words. I appreciate it so much!

I hear you on the BC...I have now been on 3 different kinds and never again. I think it's just doesn't jive with my body.

Thank you again and have a great day!!

Oh--and here's another vote for bag set #1!!!

:goodvibes Thanks! So far the count is Option #1 - 3 votes; Option #2 - 0 votes. So I think I am going to have to go with Option #1. :thumbsup2

I did read the girls loved the movie and did a great job - I'm so glad!! I bet you all just had an awesome time!

You bet! It's a really good TR - I'll be going over there shortly to update myself. :thumbsup2

I'll be posting more about our plans soon. We just love Disney at Christmas; yes, it's crowded and there are lots of people around, but if you know that going in, it's not bad. We are avoiding the parks on NYE and probably New Year's Day as well until later in the evening. I've read tips on other TRs that say to utilize those EMH because then the locals clear out and the park is less crowded, so we might have to do that. :cool1:

Thanks again for reading, and take care!

congrats on your 10lb weight loss. :thumbsup2 It is really hard to lose weight. I try and fail multiple times before I can really stick to a diet. I think 1.5 lbs is a very reasonable goal. The only thing that works for me is weight watchers because I am: (1) forced to write down everything I eat (2) forced to count the points associated with everything I eat, and (3) forced to make healthy choices so I can eat more food.

I agree with you about the creative people who create the signs and T-shirts. They are all so great! I wish I could do it!

Hi MEK!

Thanks for the encouraging words. I appreciate it! I have done WW before as well and that does work for me. I haven't done as well on the other "diets" because to me, they don't take into account having a real life with travel, business meetings, etc. So I think counting points again is a good idea. I've been really watching what I eat but am not counting as religiously as I should so I'll get back on that.

Thanks again!
Katie

Ok so I skimmed the first dozen pages and then read the last 4 pretty thoroughly so sorry for anything I missed in between!

Awesome - thank you!! :worship:

I love "behind the scenes" stuff (I usually watch the additional features on the DVD before I watch the movie:lmao:) so I know we'll really enjoy this!! :thumbsup2

I always watch it after! It's so fun! I love when dvd's come with a whole extra disc of special features! Can't wait to hear about the tour!

This afternoon, we went and saw Toy Story 1 and 2 in 3D! We had a great time! It was so neat to see the movies again in the theatre....and in 3D it was just so much fun!

It was me, my brother, my aunt and 3 cousins. The 3 year old went with us and although we were unsure he would make it through 2 movies, he did great! He was so cute, sitting there eating his popcorn and laughing. :lovestruc It was precious!

It just put me that much more in the mood to go on vacation in a few short months. My goddaughter and I already have a date to go see "The Princess and the Frog", which comes out right before we leave. I figure it'll be a nice way to kick off our holiday vacation. :santa:

Have a great week, everyone!!

That must've been so cute seeing him in those 3-D glasses and watching it and laughing and eating popcorn! Adorable!! I really loved it so much more in 3-D!

Can't wait to see The Princess and the Frog!! That's going to be great. I'm glad you already have a date set to see it! ;)

I love both of the options for the bags really! But I think the first option is a little better! I was thinking that you could stagger the gifts...give a few for the plane, a few more when you get there and then maybe a bit more for Christmas and have the big one then.

Watching the fireworks from the Poly sounds heavenly! I'm so excited for this tr! I wish I could go over NYE! It's my 2nd favorite holiday after the 4th...because I just love fireworks!

Hey Kimmy! How are you? Good I hope!

Yeah, I think I am going to go with option #1 on the bags. They are super-cute and best of all, right what I wanted to spend. :goodvibes

I am super excited for the fireworks at the Poly! It will be nice to see them there and not fight the MK crowds, plus we're having a Dis meet so that will be super cool.

Hopefully I can keep everyone entertained for the next 2 1/2 months...but you know I'll give everyone updates on what I am buying for the trip!! :thumbsup2 lol

Have a good one!!
Katie

So....I should really learn to read better. :headache:

I looked at the gift bags again today, I was going to put in my order. Well, they are about 7" x 6 1/2", so they are small gift bags. The others though are larger, about 12" x 10 1/4"; those aren't AS cute, but they are bigger. Oh good grief - what to do now?!

You women and these PTRs all all the same... always telling about your shopping excursions!!!! :lmao:

We have ticket to Princess and the Frog premiere in NYC. Plus we have free child passes we got in Disney last week!!! (shhhhh don't tell anyone! Keep it on the DL!!!) I already have let many spoilers out of the bag... If all the people got together with their hints, they could finish my TR for me!!! LOLOL:rotfl:

LOL :rotfl: I know, we women are so predictable, aren't we? But you do know that we have to get affirmation from our fellow females before we buy, so that's your explanation as to why we are the way we are. :lmao:

Free child passes?! Awesome! And don't worry, I won't say a thing...your secret is safe with me! :lmao:
