All I Want for Christmas is...A WDW Vacation!! UPDATE pg 35 - Leaving today!!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while......I'm still trying to get all caught up with my subbed threads.....

I read you might be in WDW for the Princess 1/2.. We will be there as well. We aren't running or walking (LOL) but plan on being at DHS on Sunday.

Hi there! I know what you mean about getting caught up...I have so many to catch up on, and I don't want people thinking I am not reading anymore!

Maybe I'll see you there, if we end up doing the 1/2! My company has started a wellness program and is starting Triathlon and other athletic teams. They'll pay for your travel and expenses if you do these wellness things, so that's why I am thinking of doing it. And my boss would walk with me, so that would be fun!! Hope we see you there!!

I just couldn't resist. I am getting so excited now!!

So excited to read all about your trip when you are back and so jealous that you get to go for 9 days and I only get 7. I guess when you are going over actual Christmas though, 9 days is probably better so you don't feel so much pressure to fit everything into a shorter time.

I'm at the 3 week mark until our trip (doesn't it sound so much closer when you can refer to it as weeks? I think so.) I'm excited, but also getting super stressed. I still have to get through Thanksgiving, Christmas shop, decorate, buy a tree, decorate the tree, wrap, clean the house, finish buying trip stuff, pack.... Seriously, thinking about everything I have to do in the next 3 weeks gives me a HUGE panic attack. I'm trying to remain mellow and just roll with the punches. It isn't working!!

Oh my! You ARE busy!! But 3 weeks IS so exciting! Just think, less than a month from now you'll be relaxing in the happiest place on earth...

As far as Christmas is concerned - I am actually done shopping, but I start scary early, like Halloween time. I am nuts that way. But I am with you on the decorating - so far I have my Nativity set up, but it's just so pretty I like to have it up early. And I think I might put up my tiny tree, but that's it - I just can't justify putting up lots of decorations when we'll be gone for most of it. I guess that would be my suggestion to you; don't stress yourself out. What gets done gets done, and your house will look lovely!!

Thank you!! I got those labels with the checks I ordered. I ran out of the checks months ago, but they sent me a TON of labels, so I like to use em up!

So we are now officially 26 days from leaving for Walt Disney World!

Last night, my aunt and I watched the very cool HGTV special about how they decorate WDW for the holiday season. It was VERY neat to see how they pull off all that decorating in such a short amount of time - and it got us really pumped to go down and see those decorations!!

This morning I made my last vacation purchase, then I am ready to go! Lands End had a free shipping offer, PLUS the pants I wanted were on sale. They are called their SunLife pants and they convert from long pants to capri or cropped pants. I thought they would be perfect since I'll have both shorter pants for the warmer days, and then I can make them longer when it gets cooler at night. Here is the pic below; I got 2 pairs, one in brown and one in khaki; it's kind of hard to tell here, but you can see the tabs on the pants, those are for making them capris.

So now I am 100% done with trip shopping and ready to go!! CVS had some good deals this weekend on batteries and band-aids, so I got some of those to take with us. I just hate spending the $$$ to buy that kind of thing on property and so a little pre-planning goes a long way there.

I'll keep in touch this next month, and then we are off to WDW for New Years!!! Now I just have to think of a name for my trip report....currently taking suggestions!!

I am so jealous you will get to see the Christmas Decorations!!! I can not believe our trips are almost here...it is flying by! I am so anxious to see how the crowds are for you...we are thiking of going around the same time you go next year.

My Christmas shopping is done - woo hoo!! I like to shop early, both so I don't feel the pressure, and also so I can find the good sales. Everything is wrapped and ready to go!

Yes, it was SO exciting! I was watching it with my 3 year old cousin, who is going, and he said, "Katie! Look at that train! Can we eat it?" Love it!

So we are officially at 19 days and counting - yea!!

I am getting a list together of the tasks I have at work before we leave. The list is small, so far, but I want to make sure I'm on the ball.

And it's snowing here!! Which makes me even more excited to go to sunny Florida! It snowed about 1/4" last night, but between now and Sunday, we're supposed to have another 4-5 inches and a winter storm advisory. Fun times!! Just making me that much more excited to go!
