Thought it would be nice to compile a list of the BEST tips you've gotten from the DIS for all of us to share easily.

My all-time most useful tip I've gotten from the DIS is to pack younger ones' clothes as total outfits inside of ziploc bags - then you can just throw them a bag, and voila - dressed kid ready to go! (Thanks to whoever posted this tip originally)!!! :thumbsup2

Thought of another one - take ponchos that ARE NOT bright yellow - WDW sells the bright yellow ones, and you can lose your group easily if yours isn't different! :rotfl:

1. You can ship items to your resort so they will be waiting for you upon arrival.

2. Names and contact information for grocery delivery services (I hate to grocery shop, especially on vacation).

3. The best/worst restaurants.

4. You can buy a double cheeseburger and an extra bun to divide the meal between children and viola, no fighting.

Pack an activity bag for each child for the drive down & back!

Take an over the door shoe holder with all the compartments to keep your room organized.

Lime is the color of DIS.

:thumbsup2 We also used the ziplock bags for clothes--it was wonderful
:thumbsup2 have a plan, know where you are going and what you are doing
:thumbsup2 ask to ride up front in the monorail
:thumbsup2 start at the back of any of the parks that you are visiting
:thumbsup2 be there early
:thumbsup2 use those fastpasses they are magical

We did all of these things and had an absolute magical trip-we rode what we wanted to with little or no wait

Get to Tom Sawyer island for a chance at fast passes!!

The first seat on Soaring is the best!

Crocs!

I have gotten so many great tips from the DISboards! A few of my favorites were.........
- tie small i.d. tags ( I used green Mickey paint chips) to your childrens shoes w/ your cell #'s on them incase they get lost :grouphug:
-brought glow necklaces to share/pass-out at night. Helps if a little one is having a hard time, and made my children feel good to think they were helping someone.
-this I haven't used at WDW, but have used this summer on different occaisions....filled a frezer bag with ice cubes, place a face cloth in it, put in your bag/car and go. When your hot and sweaty, the cloth is nice and cool from the ice/melted. :cool2:
I could keep going on but there are only so many hours in a day :wave2:

I have also gotten lots of tips on the DISboards :thumbsup2 (most of which I say :scratchin "Hmm, why didn't I think of that!"). Two of my favorites are:

If you have a little person who is afraid of the toilets that flush automatically, place a small (1x2 inch) post-it note over the sensor while in use - toilet won't flush until it is removed. This was a life saver with my DD on our last trip, who previously refused to use these toilets once she realized they would flush on their own (which made for some creative ideas at potty time). BIG thank you to the person who posted this tip! :thanks:

For pressed pennies - set up a mini M&Ms container with 2 quarters and a penny alternated throughout. Saves scrambling for change when a machine is spotted.
