DH couldn't go, so the girls and I headed down to the World from 19-23 Jan.

Cast
Mom-obsessive Planner who just had foot surgery in August and should have gotten a wheelchair for whole trip, but was too stubborn.
DD 15- cool teen who loves Disney and Stitch
DD13- younger, but still cool teen who loves Disney

Friday-Jan 19th
Get to Airport about an hour and a half early, check in no problem, eat some breakfast, then board our Southwest Flight with our A tickets!!!

Landed in Orlando at 10:25 a.m. and somehow managed to find our way to the ME desk, check in took less than 5 minutes!! I think we waited maybe 10-15 minutes for the bus then we were on our way!!!

Stopped at All Star Sports, then on to our stop All Star Music!!! Check in took about 15 minutes at the resort, gave them our bags then headed out for Animal Kingdom!! Was at the bus stop by 12:00 or so and it took maybe 15 minutes for a bus to come.

Sent the girls off for an EE fastpass as that was our one and only goal for the day. Return time was 4:15 and the park closed at 5. Ticket said we could get another fast pass only one hour later at 1:26!! Headed to Pizzafari since we were STARVING and had some pizza.

Headed to the Safari next, Had a 20 minute wait posted and we could get another fast pass in about 15 minutes, but we decided just to wait in the stand by line. I think we waited about 15 minutes before we boarded. There were some really mad people in line behind us because they couldn’t understand why all those people were “cutting in front” with the fast passes!! The CM explained to them, and then I tried to explain the rest. They said, “Well, it’s nice that Disney TELLS us about this” Uh hello…..it’s on the map, all over the TV and the machines are all over…not hard to figure out!!! I pointed it out on the map….duh…

After the Safari we saw a couple of gorillas

then headed over to ITTBAB.

ak3.jpg

It was a walk on, but we made our way slowly through the line since we like to take pictures of the tree.

Headed over to Dinosaur, I think the wait was about 30 minutes, so I sent DD#2 for a fast pass, (dd#1 doesn’t like Dinosaur so she hung out and took pictures of her Stitch doll everywhere while she waited). DD walked up to the Fast Pass Machine and there was a CM there who handed her a Fast Pass to use “whenever we wanted!!” So we went right on!! That was a nice bit of magic!! Went on Primeval Hurl after that with no wait.

After that it was ice cream break time, so we just sat and watched people for a bit. Then it was on to see the Tigers (my favorite) and the bats (DD#1’s favorite).

Soon it was Fast Pass time so we headed onto Everest!! That is such a fun ride!! I can’t wait to go on it again in June!!

It was 4:45 so we headed over for one last walk on ride on the Safari, then slowly made our way back to the room. Our luggage wasn't there yet and it was 6 hours or more after we had landed so we gave them a call and they said it was on it's way and would be there within 45 minutes....I was expecting it to be in the room after all that time, but not a big deal.

Ate dinner at the food court, I had some turkey and potatoes which wasn’t too bad, then the kids went swimming and I rested my sore foot!

more to come.....

Saturday

Saturday Jan 20

Got up and made it to the bus stop by 8 A.M. We ate some donuts in the room so we wouldn’t have to waste time for breakfast!! MK bus stop had a huge line, but Epcot’s was empty so it looks like I picked the right park!! Only 2 other people were on the bus, and no one got on at AS Movies, so there were only 5 of us on the bus.

Made it through security and SHOULD have gone to get a wheelchair, but nope…not me…my foot doesn’t really hurt!! (yeah ok…and if you believe that one I have some ocean front property in Arizona for you). Don’t go to Disney after a sub talar fusion if you can help it!!

We weren’t going to go on Soarin (sometimes it makes me sick) so we were on the left side of the park to head to Test Track. We got inline and got to ride twice without getting off. When we got off, DD#2 said, “I’m hungry, no, I’m not hungry, my stomach just feels weird” Uh…maybe because we just rode Test Track twice in a row!!

Headed over to the other side of the park and stopped in the Character Connection and got our pictures made with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Chip and Dale.

Walked onto the Nemo ride…it was cute, but nothing I would wait in line for.

epcot2.jpg

It was 9:45 and we decided that we did want to go on Soarin, so we sent DD#1 over for Fast Passes while DD#2 and I waited. DD#1 came back with a 10:27 FP time so we checked out the manatees for awhile and saw the 10 A.M fish feeding.

Went next door to Figment which we love and can’t miss. The sound was messed up a little and we couldn’t hear anything right before you go into Figment’s upside down house which was a bummer.

Then it was 10:30 so we decided to go on Soarin. The standby line was 30 minutes at that point, with a Fast Pass return time for about an hour away…I don’t understand why people stand in a 30 minute standby line when they can just grab a fast pass, but whatever, I do enjoy walking right by them!!! Met some nice people in the Short Fast Pass line and we talked about the Disney cruises that we’ve been on. When we got off Soarin it was 10:50 and the stand by line was 60 minutes…and yet people still would walk in the stand by line instead of getting a fast pass…I just don’t get it??!!

I decided that I was hungry, so I got some awesome chicken and DD#2 got a fruit bowl while DD#1 went off in search of the first of many pretzels!!

epcot1.jpg

It was weird to be sitting in the middle of the Land eating with so much movement all around you..there was a constant line of people all around us, it was like we were the only ones not moving!!

Should have gone and taken a break at this point, but I thought my foot could handle a few countries…dumb move. We started at Mexico, rode the Maelstrom in Norway, and the kids tried on hats..

mk5.jpg

and checked out Germany before my foot said, “NO MORE” Then I had to make it all the way back to the bus stop!!!

Stopped at Spaceship Earth on the way out as always, then grabbed a courtesy wheelchair at the gate for the way to the bus stop……left at about 1:30 or so...

Loving your trip report! Your girls are beautiful. Can't wait to read more.

Thank you...I think they are beautiful, but I'm their mother, that's my job!!

Ok, where did I leave off....oh yeah, we just left Epcot...

Went back to the resort and DD#2 and I stopped at the Food Court so she could get a burger. Took it back to the room which was OMG all the way in the back of the Rock Inn...I don't think we could have been much further away...took at least 10 minutes to get there....but I digress...

I laid down for a while and rested my now aching foot :sad2:

Got up about 4 or so and decided to go to Downtown Disney before it got full of the evening crowds....so we headed on over, caught a bus pretty quick, and I have to say, the bus service was great this trip...I'm not crazy about the All Star Busses, but there was only one time that it was full and people had to stand...mostly they were pretty empty.

Went to get a Margarita as soon as we got there....they are soooo good I had to have one!!!

dtd.jpg

Sent DD#1 into Earl of Sandwich to get me a meatball sub. Kids weren't hungry or so they said!!! DD#2 decided she liked my sandwich so I gave her a chunk of it....DD#1 said she didn't like marinara sauce but she was making MY sandwich disappear so I sent her back in to get her OWN sandwich!!

Walked around a bit and the girls were silly as usual...

dtd1.jpg

Headed into the World of Disney Store. Haven't been there since they added all the Pirate stuff and it's awesome!!!

dtd3.jpg

dtd2.jpg

Decided that DD#2 and I wanted ice cream, we have never gotten anything from the Ghirardelli shop, but decided that this was the trip!! Everything looked so good, but we decided to split the Cookie bottom sundae. :woohoo:
DD#2 said, "It looks small"

dtd4.jpg

But by the end she said, "I am so full I can't eat another bite..." so much for it being small!! ;)

dtd5.jpg

Decided we had enough so we headed out...of course there was more silliness on the way..

dtd6.jpg

Minimal wait for the bus and headed back to the room...hung out in the room watching High School Musical (my guilty pleasure :rolleyes1 ) on the Disney Channel.

dtd7.jpg

Need to get moving and get some stuff done around the house now...I'll try to finish the next two days as soon as I can!! :goodvibes

Seriously!! The girl in the Wheel Chair??? Your the Mom!!??? :thumbsup2 I would have thought you were one of the sisters!
It must be Disney... I better keep it up so I never age!

AWWW...you're so sweet!!! :goodvibes I'll be the big 4-0 in March.....29 freaked me out...but 40...not so much....maybe it's Disney and my 31 year old husband that is keeping me so young!!! You should see my mom, she's 65 and you wouldn't believe it if you saw her!!

Ok...finally have enough time to continue on with this!!!

Sunday morning we got to the bus stop at 8 A.M and there was the MK bus!! :cool1:

Got in the MK and sent DD#1 up ahead for a Space Mountain Fast Pass. DD#2 and I hung back and walked a little slower and got some pictures.

mk.jpg

DD#1 picked up Fast Pass and met us at Buzz. Line really wasn't moving, so we decided to hit it later.

Headed over to Fantasyland and hit Pooh, Peter Pan and then Snow White with no wait on any of them. We did ride Peter Pan with some very annoying little children that were screaming the whole time so that kind of ruined it for us, but luckily we went on it again on Monday night so we could really enjoy it. These kids were annoying...just screaming for the heck of it...

Hit all of those by 9:30 so we headed over the Big Thunder Mountain for about a 5 minute wait, then on to Pirates for a 5-10 minute wait. Grabbed a fast pass for the JC at 10 and there was a long line already formed waiting for it to open.

Walked by Peter Pan at 10:00 A.M. and there was already a 20 minute wait.

Headed over to the Haunted Mansion and it was a walk on.

It was close to 11 so we ate lunch at Cosmic Ray's, I headed over to Buzz and grabbed a Fast Pass for that while the kids were still eating.

Took Train from Toon Town to Frontierland and then rode Jungle cruise with our fast pass which had a 50 minute wait at noon. Then went and used our Fast Passes for Space Mountain which had a 40 minute wait, hit Buzz

mk1.jpg

and then left the MK about 1:30 or so, after stopping on the way out to take a few pictures!!
