I feel bad for the smaller percentage of bars who actually tried to open with the proper requirements and precautions. They're being penalized bigtime by the places who didn't care and just pretended it was 2019 again. This won't be the last thing to be revoked again with the virus numbers they're seeing.
The problem is there is not nearly enough contact tracing being done and FL is intentionally hiding numbers for optics. We really have no idea who is positive vs. hospitalized, etc. It's not clear.
I haven't read the fine print of the order, but I wonder if alcohol sales on the bulk of Florida resort properties will be exempt from this depending on how they are classified
This is for places wherre 51% of their revenue is from alcohol sales so many places can get by because they serve food. However for disney, Oga and Baseline are definitely affected and likely many of the pool bars will be too though the pool bars may be able to claim off premise consumption and just remove bar stools.
In my area when all of the bars were on lock-down they were allowed to serve curbside pickup. Normally there's an ordinance that prohibits that, but they waived it to allow bars to have at least some income during lock-down. I too wonder if there's some loophole for pool bars.
