Hi, can anyone tell me where I can get a list of rides that are safe to go on when pregnant.
Also if anyone has tackled the World whilst 6 months pregnant how they coped. We can take it slow as we are there for 18 days. My DD is worried about the heat and all the walking.

Much easier to list the few specific attractions that DO have safety restrictions.

And, there are many threads discussing WDW trips by women who happen to be pregnant (various stages) during their trips.

Very common discussion.

Hi Robo, where would I find the list, I know no roller coasters but I'm thinking maybe even some of the rides like pirates won't be safe.

The link is in my earlier post.

Hi there! I went last year at 4 months pregnant. I avoided all of the rides with warnings, so basically, all of the roller coasters, Splash Mountain, Test Track, Dinosaur, and Kali River Rapids off the top of my head. I also didn't go on the safari - I thought the bumpiness may be uncomfortable. The only headliner I was able to do was Soarin'. I did ride PoTC multiple times with no problems.

(We didn't go to the Studios on that trip, but ToT would also be off the list.)

General advice - not sure when you're going, but if it's anytime over the summer, it'll obviously be very hot. I didn't realize how much difference there would be in coping with heat while pregnant. Be sure to sit down frequently, get in the A/C whenever you can, and drink lots and lots of non-caffeinated beverages!!! Take it slow, and don't try to do too much in one day. Sounds like you have a nice, long trip planned, which is great as you will not need to be in any kind of rush. And get a celebration button!

I went when I was almost 7 months pregnant. It was at Spring Break 7 years ago, as my little guy will be turning 7 next week. I don't remember being bothered by all the walking, but I was in good physical shape to begin with. My older two kids were 3 and 5 at the time so we always took a midday nap/pool break, which was definitely nice so we weren't just going non-stop all day long. I know I didn't ride any roller coasters or big rides like that, but I know I rode the Safari at AK and it was just fine. Hope you have a fun trip!

Hi KrazeeKs120 and ErinF :thanks: for your post very helpful

cal :)

I went at 27 weeks in 2012. It was a great trip. I avoided all the restricted rides, other than KS. My OB gave me clearance to ride, so I did and had no issues. Luckily, Soarin' is on the approved list, so that made me a happy camper, as it's one of my favorite rides.

We went over spring break, and it was in the mid-80s daily, but the humidity was pretty low, so I didn't swell a ton.

I walked everywhere and had no problems. I just tried to stay hydrated as much as possible, and I put my feet up in the room at night.

I found that if you are visibly pregnant, you get some really good character interactions. Minnie even kissed my belly, which is one of my favorite pics of all time.

While DH and older DD did the restricted rides, I'd either sit and relax, do a non-restricted ride, get a snack, or find a PhotoPass photographer and get some cute pictures by myself. I was a little sad not to be able to do EE, Space, RNRC, etc, but I found ways to keep occupied, and I knew we'd be back within a few years.

I've been trying to talk to my wife in going to Disney this year while pregnant (currently 19 weeks), but she is against it .. especially since it would be in the heat of summer. She doesn't think going and not being able to ride half the rides AND walk and deal with the heat sounds fun!. And being the smart husband, I know not to push it! :). I'll just have to be patient and plan a trip with TWO kids for 2017 or 2018.

I think there would be a huge difference in going Summer than Fall, Winter or Spring.

I would think that all the walking and the heat (and humidity) is probably more dangerous (if you aren't careful) than some of the rides!

Kudos to you ladies who did go while pregnant. Glad you had a great time.

Hi! We will be in the world on Monday :) so excited!! I am currently 20weeks pregnant. I also went to the world when I was 14 - 16 weeks pregnant with DD a few years ago. Then I rode safari at AK but avoided all costers-more for the restrictive restraints... Anything with a harsh break which can push into your stomach or anything which will hit that area. What I didn't know is (so maybe someone could let me know too!) what is the restriction for 7DMT? Robo the link to allears doesn't have it listed... I'm guessing it's a no.
Also I can't remember what the restraints are like on stitch and the speedway? Surely the speedway is like being in a car?!?! And I know stitch has the shoulder harness but does it go down to bump area?!? My eldest DD would like to do it this year!!

TIA and happy travels (and congrats for your bump!!)
