Hello all!

I am very excited to be going to Hawaii as part of my honeymoon! My Fiance and I will be taking a couple days in Maui, a couple in Oahu, and then 2 and half days in Disneyland! I can't wait!
Everything is booked with the exception of a hotel in Oahu, and of course we'd love to do Aulani! However everything is booked up with the exception of the Villas which are way over our price range. What are the odds someone will cancel a standard room in June? I have been checking back multiple times a day and called a few times as well. At what point should I give up?
Thanks!

See if someone has DVC points they could rent you. It is actually cheaper than renting a hotel room. You could get a studio for around $250/$275 a night if somebody had some to sell. We are DVC so I do not know the exact process but my friend rents points all the time and I am amazed at the prices she gets. Good luck!

Any time after June 1 gets crazy. We tried to book one bedroom for a week starting June 4. I logged on the morning of the 11 month mark and had missed my chance. I would not expect many cancellations. We are going in may indtead.

Thanks for the responses.
I actually tried the DVC rental and they were unable to find anything either. Good suggestion though!

Maybe book a room at one of the other Ko Olina hotels, and at least have a day at the spa and bars/restaurants at Aulani? That's what I would do in your situation. You'd want to get the spa appts soon, I'd guess. The spa would be the most important part to me if I were on my honeymoon! :) Congratulations, by the way!

I'll be honest, not good. Unless someone local cancels I don't think at this point someone from the mainland will.

We're DVC and had to wait list and work like crazy to piece meal a week stay in early June and we were flexible with dates!

I am down in Hawaii now. As much as I wanted to stay at Aulani it was too much for our wallets. We are staying at the Marriott just down the road from Aulani...you can see Aulani from the Marriott. I was recommended that one on here. We will go over there and take a look at Aulani while staying.

We have stayed at both the Marriott and Aulani. Aulani was great with kids, but I actually would have preferred the Marriott with adults only. We walked over to aulani from Marriott. I hope you have a great trip!
