Hiya

Well we finally (or maybe I) finally decided on whats happening next year (a big sigh I here from you lol)

We have kept the upper class flights from gatwick both ways (chris would absolutely not change down)

we have decided on the polynesian for our first week in a lagoon view concierge room, and the second week at the contemporary on the 14th floor with a wdw view concierge room.

I am so excited, plus I chose the first week hotel and chris the second week!!

I could bounce round the room :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

The cast member I booked with was wonderful,

All I need now is more info about concierge etc,
Also any one else booked rooms direct with disney, how does check in ec work?

I have booked gifts of a life time, so I am looking for other suprises too

youd better feel sorry for the girls at work today this is allllll they are gonna here about lol

"changing down" !!!
How could you possibly even consider suggesting such a thing....there are riff-raff commoners back there behind those partitions you know. Would you believe it, they only have 36" seat pitch, and they can't even turn their seat into a bed !
Good heavens, change down, i'd rather die!.
:rotfl2:

Fantastic choice of hotels though, I think i'd be wanting to stay in those all day to get my moneys worth !

Im feeling a bit skint today (can you tell), the credit card statements are starting to come in......along with the harsh reality that it will be 2 years before I can return.

Concierge service includes personalized front desk and guest services, turndown service, refrigerator, & coffeemaker.
Concierge Cast Members can help with priority seating reservations, & itinerary planning advice.

There are two separate concierge levels at the Contemporary: Tower Club on the 12th floor, and full concierge on the 14th floor.

Tower Club concierge only provides a light continental breakfast (danish, bagels, muffins, donuts, cereal, fruit, juice, hot drinks), and afternoon snacks (cookies, brownies, hot drinks). It is only staffed from 7am-4pm.

14th floor concierge offers a full continental breakfast, snacks and appetizers throughout the day, and desserts, cheese & wine in the evening. Soda, bottled water and other beverages are available all day. The lounge is staffed from 7am-10pm.

Concierge service includes personalized front desk and guest services, robes, phone in bath area, data port on phone, coffeemaker (upon request), pantry service (upon request), turndown service, and lounge with continental breakfast, midday snacks, evening hors d'oeuvres, and evening cordials and dessert.

Concierge rooms and lounge are located in the Hawaii longhouse (currently being refurb., so rooms are in Tahiti), and suites are in Tonga.

The lounge has a large window looking out onto Seven Seas Lagoon. This offers a wondeful view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks, and the music is piped into the lounge.

The concierge lounge is staffed between 7am - 10pm.

The exact benefits of concierge service will vary depending on the resort, but typically you get a slightly upgraded room (with a few more facilities) and a nicer room location. You also have pre-itinerary planning services - you are able to e-mail your resort before your trip and they will arrange all of your ADRs for you and also help you to secure popular reservations. They also help with any special surprises you may wish to plan.

Upon arrival you receive private check-in on the concierge level (or in the case of the Polynesian in the concierge longhouse) and you have access to the concierge lounge which serves a whole host of complimentary drinks and snacks throughout the day, to include a continental breakfast and hot dishes in the evening. There is also a dessert service in the evening.

Throughout your stay the concierge cast members are able to offer advice and assist with any requests. They go out of their way to help ensure their guests are totally happy. The higher level of service is the best thing about concierge in my opinion.

Thanks Jeanette and Frances. Don't imagine we'll ever beable to afford it, but nice to know! LOL ;)
