I should have finished reading before posting! But in week 49 the weather is so much cooler and pleasant! That was our reasoning.![]()
Is there a post with all the room/resort sold out fixed weeks? For Poly Tower, no more week 39 are available for resort studios. I tried.![]()
FWIW, that’s going to be a moving target. No more than x% (35%?) of declared rooms in a booking category can be sold as FW. But Island Tower at Poly is a resort in active sales. As more units get declared into the condo association, more FW become available. Is there a post with all the room/resort sold out fixed weeks?
I don’t think there will be anymore FW 39 sold at all even with new inventory being declared. I asked about that, and was told pretty emphatically no more week 39. I wasn’t going to wait as price increases were looming. I’d be curious if anyone has purchased FW 39 since February.FWIW, that’s going to be a moving target. great point! Since I've starting thinking about fixed weeks recently I was wondering which weeks were already gone. I am not ready to purchase yet so not ready to ask a Guide and was hoping for some clarity from this thread. Thanks for letting me know that is harder than I realized.FWIW, that’s going to be a moving target. No more than x% (35%?) of declared rooms in a booking category can be sold as FW. DVD can't sell more than 35% as FW, but they are not required to go that high...so, even if more units are declared, its not a given that any currently sold out FW will come back as an option.FWIW, that’s going to be a moving target. If I haven’t single-handedly convinced you of this, I am failing at my job![]()
I'm about a week out or so from pulling the trigger on RIV!You for sure aided in my decision.![]()
I keep debating a week 7 FW but I really don't like that its Sun-Sun either. For my jobs its not a big deal but my wife is a teacher and it's nice for her to get a day before school resumes to decompress from traveling.I'm about a week out or so from pulling the trigger on RIV!
Stressing about FW39 vs. just getting 100 points. The FW will cost me $3200, which is not chump change and comes to a $228/pt. premium for those extra 14 points. Seems like a steep premium.
As a rule I like to go from Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Saturday. I like having the trailing Sunday off before heading back to work. But I also know that things may change once I'm retired...![]()

I saw FW as a resale benefit but mine didn’t cost me any extraI'm about a week out or so from pulling the trigger on RIV!

So as a ninja, tell me what to doI saw FW as a resale benefit but mine didn’t cost me any extra
I guess I should've said my FW didnt really cost me more because I was buying over the amount of points needed for the FW and I dont really intend on using the FW myself unless things become where I have to. So my only ninja for direct is ask for a 60 day pay plan, buy close to new incentives being released so you can swap if better and open a new credit card with a big sign up bonus to get miles/points/cashback to save on the purchase (this was the only reason I justified buying direct)So as a ninja, tell me what to do
This is why I got mine. I didn't (and don't) think it was necessary, because I do not think the doomsday scenario happens. But (a) the FW point total was in my budget and (b) it can't hurt to have one.Since nobody knows how the restricted resort thing will play out once more and more contracts get sold on the resale market I think a FW is security.
That’s kind of where I am now. I really don’t see myself staying that week 39 very often and even then probably not Sunday to Sunday. Combine that with the extra cost and I think I’m better off just buying straight points. This is why I got mine. The only caveat: It does not help if you would not enjoy traveling during that week, and that's why I bought a "bad" one (meaning: not one of the cheap Fall ones that may go up later.)
Probably smart. If you were already planning to buy over 100 pts then I think it would make sense. That’s kind of where I am now. Agree, and buying in at the lowest amount where the D 23 and AP discounts kick in makes it a little bit less per point.Probably smart. If you were already planning to buy over 100 pts then I think it would make sense.
Still shocked and have slight FOMO over 100pts being cheaper per point than 150Agree, and buying in at the lowest amount where the D 23 and AP discounts kick in makes it a little bit less per point.
