All About Fixed Weeks (RIV/CCV/AUL/VGF/POLY/TOWER/VHD/FWC Charts)

I did ask about the tower studio because I was going to originally only purchase 150 and they said they had it but not for the weeks I wanted (48-50). I was trying to get a cheap TS (under 100 pointer) and then just add on to that to get to 150.

Afterwards I decided screw it, I'll just get a standard studio because that's what my family is a lot more likely to actually want to stay in and they had it for the weeks I wanted and got suckered into buying 135+50 instead of my originally intended 150.
Ok, they must have just pulled them after a while then and some guides may not know about it

It would be weird for EVERY week to be sold out in the tower studios but ZERO weeks sold out as a standard studio. They are the two hardest bookings at that resort I think. They must have just stopped selling them to preserve some availability since they are so limited in number.

When Disney updated the FW points charts in 2023, Week 39 fully fell in September which is rare. Then they didn't update the FW point requirement for that week since they didn't change any of the monthly point charts. Looking at the next 15 years of dates for Week 39 and there are only 3 years where the FW doesn't already come out equal or cheaper than booking on points using the current point charts! Any week 39 that includes 2 October dates breaks even on the current points, more than 2 October days comes up net positive even after accounting for the 10% premium. Needle in the haystack when it comes to FW!

I like your advice on the 114+86+50. Gives me more options should I decide to downsize while still keeping DVC-Y. I also don't expect much price difference on the resale market between an 86, 68, and 50 point contract. The 114 point contract will also be attractive as it will be a FW and still a small point commitment.

I am sold on Week 39 at this point. Thanks for your input! Now the question is do I have the patience to wait until the date I previously told my guide I would be buying or call him sooner?!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who did this kind of analysis!! 🤣

I bought a standard studio but they were offering towers when I bought in Oct/Nov. @Tatebeck. The fixed week chart they sent me had tower studios on there
Ahh I wasn't too far off :rotfl2:
My understanding is that when the resort opened they did not offer tower room FW. Then they were released as available options but they've since been pulled again.
Yeah, I remember the chart updated and they were offered around the time DLH dropped the minimum new member purchase to 100 points. Doesn't hurt to keep checking if they're available if someone REALLY wants one.

So waiting for the fixed weeks studio info for new Poly Tower once point chart is released.

I already own week 49 at CCV. Looking at another really popular FW that I would rent if I didn’t use. We like going in May and September, but I don’t think those timeframes require a FW.

I like the thought of week 39 as has been previously discussed. Still, I am leaning towards week 48.

Thoughts appreciated!!

I’d vote for Wk 48… never know if you will want back to back stays during the most competitive booking period. Sadly wk 48 used to be a better deal before the reallocation of seasons but it’s still my favorite time for the WDW Magic

I do like the idea of having back to back FWs in case you ever want to stay for 2 weeks. I own CCV Week 52 and debated getting Week 1 at Riviera for that same reason.

How much more of an upcharge? Back when I purchased my week 49 week 48 was the same ( I’m pretty sure. Back in 2018).

Doing fixed weeks with week 39 (114 pts) and week 50 (135pts) in standard studios plus a 51 point extra contract. We could have just added a single point to one of the fixed week contracts as well to get to 250 if we weren't going for the 300 point level.
I've been thinking on this since you posted it. We're planning to do 250 with a FW that uses 135 points. We figured the other 115 would be free floaters, but can anyone think of a good argument NOT to pick a 114 value FW to attach to that one if they will indeed let you purchase it with the last extra point needed to get to the next incentive? The 114s would be in Sept though, while our UY would be December....hmm.

Or would we be better off instead to break it into 135FW + 65 + 50?

I would probably just add the point to the 114 and get the two FWs (though in almost any other scenario, I'd be against adding on to an already inflated premium FW contract...)

I personally wouldn't do the Week 39 FW with a December UY unless you never plan to actually use the FW.
