Yeah. I would wager that they are the most-sold FW's by a large margin. My guide mentioned the first 2 weeks of December and the week of Christmas were the most popular favorite weeks he's sold.

Let us know how it goes!!!!Thank you! Just wanted to make sure I would be ok before asking my guide about week 49 again. I appreciate it!
Why do people seem to prefer wk 49 over 50? Same price and same point requirements.I know favorite weeks use current UY points and if you touch even 1 of the points the week cannot be booked by MS.
What if I bank points on that contract and book with ONLY the banked points in the same UY? Would that cause any issues with MS banking the favorite week?
Additionally, what if I book something with the current UY points and cancel it before MS plans on booking the favorite week? Is the favorite week no longer eligible to be booked if all the current UY points are available because I touched them previously?
Week 50 always felt too close to Christmas for me. Week 49 is about 2 weeks after Thanksgiving and 2 weeks before Christmas. I also find the crowds in WDW start to increase going into week 50. Additionally, part of week 50 in 2022 was blocked out from the DVC/FL-resident Sorcerer pass. Why do people seem to prefer wk 49 over 50? Same price and same point requirements.
I did call my guide back last week. I can confirm week 50 in a standard resort studio is available so DVC is selling Favorite Weeks under 150 points at VGF. I passed on adding right now since I have until 9/11. I will just go ahead with 2, 75 point contracts unless something changes with my preferred week between now and 9/11. I did ask him to let me know. He's very responsive.Let us know how it goes!!!!
Thank you! I didn’t know that about the sorcerer’s pass!Week 50 always felt too close to Christmas for me. Week 49 is about 2 weeks after Thanksgiving and 2 weeks before Christmas. I can double confirm cuz my guide replied to my email saying week50 (and 49) are still available at VGF.I did call my guide back last week. I also asked something out of curiosity... it may not necessarily fit here, but good to know in general (sorry if this was already widely known). I was curious if you could add 150 points at one resort and 50 at another resort and also receive the Magical Beginnings on that other contract under 150 points since you're purchasing over 150 points at the same time. He confirmed with Quality Assurance and called me right back. It would work and you could sell back all 200 points from both resorts if you wanted. I was just checking if I wanted to add a small DLH contract in there since 50 points will never get a developer credit.
Thank you everyone for all your help in answering my questions here! I love the idea of a Favorite Week, especially when the points align with the incentives and what you want to spend.
Oh nice! My guide it actually on vacation for a week or so, but I will reach back out when he returns!Thank you! I didn’t know that about the sorcerer’s pass!

I had the same question in bold as well for my guide!! Couldn’t really express it as well as you tho. So I’m glad you asked cuz the answer your guide gave will impact our future decision. Love this forum and especially this thread!
Yes, I went with week 49 for very similar reasons. Check-in/check-out dates vary across the years based on what day of the week Jan 1 falls on and whether or not it is a leap year, but to put some actual dates around it:Week 50 always felt too close to Christmas for me. Until you see those new Poly2 prices!! I would not rule out that FW at VGF2 just yet. Do they have the FW available at VGF1?We were so close to pulling the trigger on a FW VGF contract on this trip. We stayed one night at Poly for Moonlight Magic at AK. Next day rode monorail to Grand Floridian to have lunch at The Grand Floridian Cafe (excellent food and service). On the way back, saw the walking path from VGF to MK…negative clincher! That path must be over a mile. Beautiful but way too long after a full day at the MK.
Looking like my monorail contract will be at Poly 2!
Its actually only 5 minutes longer than the walk from BLT.We were so close to pulling the trigger on a FW VGF contract on this trip. We stayed one night at Poly for Moonlight Magic at AK. Check it out. I just looked at the chart and it doesn’t differentiate between 1&2. Why do you ask?Until you see those new Poly2 prices!! I would not rule out that FW at VGF2 just yet. Do they have the FW available at VGF1?
What do you think this would look like in practice? I am thinking that if one were to buy a FW49 studio today, that they would then be booked into any random studio at VGF (once the 12 month window opens) as opposed to a studio located in BPK?They are no longer selling favorite weeks as VGF1 and only selling points deeded to BPK.
A FW contract is associated with an exact room type and view. Because the VGF2 rooms are "Resort Studios" vs. VGF1's "Deluxe Studios", buying a new FW contract at VGF would be for one of the new Resort Studios in BPK.What do you think this would look like in practice? Oh i see now. Thank you for pointing out the difference!A FW contract is associated with an exact room type and view. Because the VGF2 rooms are "Resort Studios" vs. VGF1's "Deluxe Studios", buying a new FW contract at VGF would be for one of the new Resort Studios in BPK.
Big Pine Key is part of the old cash resort. It's the closest outer building to VGF1, but is not far at all from Sago Key and the MK walking path. Additionally, the scenic walk by the water is different than the walk across an active roadway with BLT. Poly2 also offers 0 walking access to a theme park and the trek from Poly2 to the Great Ceremonial House and/or TTC is pretty significant. Maybe I am biased as a VGF ownerOh i see now. I dunno, the distance from park entrance to Villa front door looks at least twice as long for VGF than BLT.Big Pine Key is part of the old cash resort. The standard view resort studios seemed desirable this past year with the 11-month booking window to current owners. It's all declared and was 50/60% sold. I am not looking forward to it when it's sold out![]()
I don't own at VGC, but when you're literally right at the doorstep of DLR/DCA, I can understand being spoiled.I dunno, the distance from park entrance to Villa front door looks at least twice as long for VGF than BLT.
Also, we’ve walked the BLT path years ago…and being spoiled VGC owners…thought it was too long also!![]()
Guess none of you want to walk with me all the way from the parking lot at the TTCI don't own at VGC, but when you're literally right at the doorstep of DLR/DCA, I can understand being spoiled.
Yes, it is approximately twice as far to get from VGF to MK vs. BLT to MK. BLT is a straight shot but you have to wait for the crosswalk signal to get across one road. The first time I stayed at VGF, I was in the VGF1 building. I started to walk to MK, but quickly got lost in a maze of sidewalks and buildings around VGF.
I assume that once construction around Poly2 completes, people staying at poly/poly2 will be able to take the scenic walking route through VGF and then to MK. It will be interesting to see how much space is left on the resort monorail at VGF after poly/poly2 guests are picked up.
