All Aboard! A Disney and Orlando Unleashed TR!TONS of PICS! Update 1/2 pg 25

Once we were back up in our room, everyone showered and relaxed. i had some ironing to do for our fancy night out! We were excited for adult conversation and fine meal without kids! We try and do this once a trip and it works out GREAT! While I put the finishing touches on myself, Bryan took the boys down to Simba's Cub House to meet up with Luke and Lauren!

With the kids tucked away in there home for the next few hours, I met up with Bryan in front of Jiko! I made sure to take the elevator and walk across the lobby and down the stairs so my hair wouldn't frizz!

Good friends excited to share a wonderful meal and evening together!

This meal was going to serve as mine and Bryan's anniversary dinner so we splurged on a bottle of wine! It was yummy! Our server ended being from New York originally so we had fun chatting with him about the weather and the Yankees and NY Giants! He was GREAT!

We ordered a flatbread that was apple jicawa bbq

Bryan had ostrich

Bryan acting like a wine sommolier...

Our waiter brought out a small sample of peanut soup that was AMAZING!!!

I ordered the filet and mac and cheese! It was AWESOME!

Bryan had some kind of fish that he LOVED!

For dessert, Bryan ordered this....

I ordered the kenyan coffee ice cream with donuts!

This was a funny point in the evening! Bryan has diabetes and I try to help remind him when he is having too much sugar, well my donuts were COVERED in sugar but he wanted some, so I gave him the smallest of pieces and he began eating like a flippin squirrel!

TOO FUNNY!

Our entire meal from start to finish was AMAZING, I would highly recommend Jiko, the atmosphere is beautiful and the food and service are outstanding!

After we finished, we headed upstairs for some photopass pics that I will post at the end of the report, there were some more funny moments here too!

After the photos, it was time to grab the kids! When we went to pick them up, THEY ALL were starving! We laughed because they were fed while in the daycare but apparently the food wasn't up tp par!

We changed into our suits, got some snack and drinks and headed for a night by the pool!

Before we knew it, it ws time to head up to bed! This had been truly a VERY memorable day and we were all feeling that Disney high!

Low crowds at Animal Kingdom?!?! That is wonderful. Looks like you got TONS of stuff in that day. We have never ridden Kali... WOW.. you guys were soaked!

Jiko... I think you and Lesley have me convinced to try it. Matt is not an adventurous eater, so I never thought we'd do well at Jiko... but that steak and mac n cheese is right up his alley. Thanks for the great pictures!

Your dinner at Jiko looked delicious, our next trip is a long way away but I have already decided that we will be heading to Jiko for dinner

Love that the kids get to spend plenty of time at the pool. I always think that if you are going to stay at such a lovely resort you should try and spend and enjoy your time there as well as the parks

Hi Diane! I have just spent the evening reading and enjoying your TR from start to finish!!!! I must say you have made me look forward to our upcoming trip to DL even more! It's s to nice to hear of other adults enjoying the magic! We will be visiting Florida some time in 2012 as we have not done that area yet! You have certainly given us something to look forward to! Can't wait for the rest of the report!

I found myself making a LOT of comments in my head while I was reading this latest update, so I went back and wrote them down. Here goes! LOL

How in the world do you get such a great “redneck” pic of the ride pic?? (I’m not counting that Everest pic, it was obvious they hadn’t cleaned the screen or else it was scratched?!)

Eric’s hat looks great on him!

Hmm, they must only have the single riders line open in peak season. I don’t remember there ever being SR line the last few years we’ve gone (always in September)

I gasped when I saw this picture, beautiful!!!! (The giraffe is my most favorite animal!) Great shot of the elephant too!

Sorry but Bryan and Matthew had the right idea for lunch. FTB is the bestest!! How stinkin cute is Eric cleaning up after the meal!!

I love that the boys wore Donald shirts and you wore Daisy. Made for a really cute pic of you and Bryan “enjoying this perfect day”

You and Bryan clean up real nice! Hehe Good plan b/c your hair looks nice and smooth in the pictures!

Hi Diane,
Great AK update. You got everything done without having to get up super early which is awesome. I love the Donald shirts and you know I have that Daisy shirt too . Kaylee has one too but she grew out of it. Splitting up for lunch is a good idea. At AK no one ever wants to eat at the same place. Jiko looks amazing, would love to try it sometime.
