All Aboard! A Disney and Orlando Unleashed TR!TONS of PICS! Update 1/2 pg 25

So excited for you to start your report. It was great meeting you and chatting for a few minutes. The train is fascinating to me, sounds like such an adventure.

As for bell services, that is the total opposite of what we got at BCV. They were so nice saying we were located right by the parking lot, etc... and we did our moving. As did we at Vero with carts right by the parking garage underneath:confused3

We had the opposite experience at CR and GF. Both places said luggage carts are for bell services only.

Great start! Love the autotrain, it looks really neat. I'm with Lesley.....adult time? Hmm wonder what that involved....discussing a great book you just read?:rotfl2: Can't wait to read more.

I'm joining in. popcorn: I hope carrying your luggage isn't a sign of what is to come.

Wonderful train adventure! Thanks for sharing your family's trip with us. I agree that all stress melts away when you drive under the Disney World sign. Looking forward to reading more.......

Signing on, too! That train ride looks like it would be so much fun! Can't wait to read more, and see all these pics!! :goodvibes

Great !! Another Diane trip report. The autotrain looks great. Were you able to get a restful sleep? If you don't mind, what was the cost, as compared to air travel?

Hi Diane!!! The autotrain looks like a great idea. Hmmm some adult alone time huh? LOL. I can't believe how big the boys have gotten! The view from your room was a great pool view. Can't wait to read about your first day.

I'm here! Going back to read now!

OK, caught up now. Sounds like you had a nice trip down. I'm reading another report right now who also did the autotrain. They didn't have sleeper cars, so it's nice to see both perspectives.

So cool that your room was ready when you got to AKL and you have an awesome view!

Thanks! Glad you are here! How neat that there are two autotrain reports to read!

what afun way to travel to Disney! the train pics looked great! And your room view.....so cool:cool1:

It was fun, thanks for joining us again!

I love your TR! You have a beautiful family too! Mind if I stay along for the ride? :yay: -Stace

Of course I don't mind! WELCOME!!! Thanks for your sweet comments!

Joining in!
And going back to read :surfweb:

Yay!!

The train ride looks like so much fun!
Is it a huge savings over flying?

Well, I don't know if it was a huge savings, but we didn't have to rent a car which we needed for our second week, so in the end it did save us money!

The autotrain looked really cool! Loved the beginning of your TR - can't wait to read more! :goodvibes

Thanks so much for being here!

DIANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy to see you're doing a TR, I have missed you:hug:

Love that you took that train, I've never heard of such a thing, so cool:woohoo:

The view looks very similar to mine and Jasmine's last Aug at AKL...so gorgeous.

I cannot wait to read more.....I've missed you....oh, did I say that already:rolleyes1:hug:

Hi there! You are so sweet! Glad you are here for the ride again!!

Welcome Home Diane

Off to read :surfweb:

Thanks Kelly!!

Your train ride loooks like a lot of fun

Why would they not give Bryan a cart? Is because they wanted to take the luggage themselves, so you have to tip them? :confused3

Great View :thumbsup2

They said that they needed to keep the carts for people checking in that wanted to use bell services. It makes sense, it was just frustrating!

I'm in! Gotta go catch up. Can't wait to hear everything!

Thanks Susan, glad you are here!

That train ride looked very cool! SOmething I might want to do in the future. I am a fellow ""jersey girl", but I am in North Eastern NJ. I do LOVE the Jersey Shore though!!!

Can't wait to read the rest.

Hey there Jersey Girl!! Thanks for joining us!!

I am here! I live in Richmond, VA and we always drive because we loving having a car at WDW. The train looks like fun though and much better than sitting in a car for 12 hours! My kids would think that was so neat!

Can't wait to hear more!

Hi there! You are lucky to live in Richmond because the traffic between Richmond and Washington is HORRIBLE!!! I wouldn't mind your drive at all!

Hey Diane, of course I'm along for the ride :thumbsup2 Loved the update, you guys look so happy! You had me cracking up at the Dunkin' Doughnuts coffee comment ;):rotfl: !!!! Also, I want to know what you meant by "adult alone time" in your cabin ;);)
Can't wait to see what you have in store next, hopefully you hook up with a REALLY fun crew;):thumbsup2 Great start!:woohoo:
-Lesley

Ha ha! I knew you would get a kick out of that, I hope Tim read it, it was really meant for him!!! Excuse me miss but get your mind out of the gutter....wine and adult conversation counts as adult time does it not?

Oh yay!! I finally got in on a TR from the beginning!! Loved seeing the autotrain stuff. How fun to just go to sleep and then wake up and almost be there :thumbsup2 We'll be staying at AKL in 2 weeks so I'm so excited to hear all about AKL too  Oh, and your boys are so cute!

Hi! WELCOME! We LOVE the AKL, such great themeing...you will love it!!!

I'm here to read about all the fun!

The train ride looks like so much fun! What a great way to get to Florida!

Yeay for your room being ready, and what a great view!!!

Hi Jackie, the train was an adventure! We did have a great view!

Hi Diane! I'm new to your TRs but I love this one so far. Nice to see a fellow Jersey girl.. I'm actually typing this from the Jersey Shore too, we're in Ocean Beach for the holiday!

At first I was getting flashbacks of the horrible train ride we had from Newark to Charlotte, NC when I was a kid, but it seems like you had a nice trip down! So cool to see them loading the cars in. And what a great view you have at AKL. I hope there are some Boma & Jiko visits during this TR cause I am longing to be there! Can't wait for more :)

Another Jersey girl, YAY! I hope you enjoyed the 4th, it was SO HOT! There were definitely some Boma and JIko visits!!

So excited for you to start your report. It was great meeting you and chatting for a few minutes. The train is fascinating to me, sounds like such an adventure.

Hi Laura! It was so nice to meet you too! The train was an adventure! Bell Services is always busy at the AKL so they wanted to save the carts for those guests who wanted to use bell services which we didn't.

We had the opposite experience at CR and GF. Both places said luggage carts are for bell services only.

That is what we were told too!

Great start! Love the autotrain, it looks really neat. I'm with Lesley.....adult time? Hmm wonder what that involved....discussing a great book you just read?:rotfl2: Can't wait to read more.

OK, you and Lesley have dirty minds!!! Just kidding! Your post made me LOL!

Hi there, WELCOME! No we had a bad moment there but things got better!

Wonderful train adventure! Thanks for sharing your family's trip with us. I agree that all stress melts away when you drive under the Disney World sign. Looking forward to reading more.......

Thanks Renee! Yes all the stress did melt away once we got in our room!

Signing on, too! That train ride looks like it would be so much fun! Can't wait to read more, and see all these pics!! :goodvibes

Thanks so much for joining us!

Great !! Another Diane trip report. The autotrain looks great. Were you able to get a restful sleep? If you don't mind, what was the cost, as compared to air travel?

YAY! Thanks for joining us again! On the train there are different categories you can go coach seats which is cheapest or roommettes which we did or you can get a bedroom which is most expensive! You can only use the autotrain if you travel with a car. For the 4 of us the van and our roommette it was about $575 one way. We drove home, because it was expensive to do the train on the 4th of July weekend.

Hi Diane!!! The autotrain looks like a great idea. Hmmm some adult alone time huh? LOL. I can't believe how big the boys have gotten! The view from your room was a great pool view. Can't wait to read about your first day.

Hi! The train was a fun adventure. Yes, my boys are getting big way TOO fast!!! We did have a GREAT pool view! Thanks for joining us!

Wow, amazingly cool adventure on the train before you even got to Florida! My DH was interested in what you did and looked it up -- a little steep in price for a one-way, but I guess you make up some of it for the car rental?

And, sorry about your opening act at AKL...hope it gets much better! (when you said Mara, I swear my stomach growled...!)
;)

Hey Diane, of course I'm along for the ride :thumbsup2 Loved the update, you guys look so happy! You had me cracking up at the Dunkin' Doughnuts coffee comment ;):rotfl: !!!! Also, I want to know what you meant by "adult alone time" in your cabin ;);)

I was wondering about the adult time thingy too....lol
ya gotta watch what ya say around here!!!;):lmao:

The train does sound neat!! Diane, can you tell me more
about the online check in?? Does these mean no trip
to the reservation desk, also if you book through a TA
should they set it up or do I do it??:confused3

I'm in! I love TR's! Pretty neat you took the train to florida! looks like fun!

Im dying to stay at AKL! Its on our wait list!
