Alice: Reviews! (potential spoilers)

Oh gosh yeah, I'm not excited to deal with all the druggies going in tonight. I don't want to deal with all the kids going in on shrooms. A lot of people are expecting the musical disney one like the original one.

We didn't have school today so half of the girls in my grade were there last night.
Half of them were definitely high.

Bummer you'll have to put up with that - it's definitely not a wigged-out movie. One or two scenes, yes.. but nothing major :confused3

On a side note, I also adored the Danny Elfman score [I don't remember if I said that].

I do agree that Tim's childrens movies are very different from his other moveis (with the exception of Nightmare.. as that was like his baby).

Even though Charlie is not my favorite Burton, my least favorite is reserved for Planet of the Apes and Corpse Bride and Mars Attacks is down there, too, though I do find it funny, I can't watch it :p

I can't wait for the new Frankenweenie and also eventually "Maleficent".

I saw it.
It was alright, not as good as Sweeney Todd.
Johnny Depp was really good, Mia was alright, but I didn't like Helena.
I had to see it in 3D though and it messes with my eyes, so I hate 3D, I'll probably like it better when I get the DVD.

Thus far, I think people either love the movie or hate it.

I know plenty of people on both sides of the fence (including people on Tumblr xD)

I think it also depends how you like Tim Burton movies.

I just got back from seeing it. I liked it!
The cheshire cat was amazing and I loved the white queen.
The story line was good, and overall I loved the whole movie!

Absolutely AMAZING, imo... Mia played a GREAT Alice, Johnny Depp made a very quirky Mad Hatter, and Helena was awesome as the Red Queen... I would definitely go see it again... but that's just all my opinion.. :goodvibes It was a very quirky movie, but in a really good way... it had a great storyline and was very unpredictable... definitely one of my faves! :thumbsup2 Not sure if it's the best for young children though... It might be a little frightening and disorienting... There's not a lot of gore or anything, but the unpredictabilty of the characters and storyline may cause little kids to be scared. Overall, though, the movie was not really that scary, imo...

I loved it. I saw it yesterday, it was amazing!

I want to see it again, too xD

As soon as it was over Thursday/Friday I said I wanted to see it again xD

I loved it! I really liked all the characters and the storyline!! I would definately see it again! :goodvibes

Loved it! Convinced oldest DS and his friend and DD all to go with me - EVERYONE LOVED IT! kudos!!) Glad we did not take youngest DS - think it may have been too much for him. Although there were many youngins; there that did just fine!

I thought it was good, not great. But it was really trippy to me. My friends and were jokingly saying this would have been better high. I enjoyed the random Mad Hatter dancing. I would rate it a 6 out of 10...but thats because I am more of a comedy person.

I saw it yesterday with my boyfriend. It was...different...to say the least. I don't really know what I was expecting, I just thought it'd be a cute re-do of a Disney movie--which it was! We only paid $6 for the both of us to see it. I'm not so sure I would've spent the normal $18 to see it but hey, it was definitely worth the $6 we spent! (:

In all honesty, if this movie had been done by another director, I wouldn't be so hard on it... But since it's Tim Burton, he could've done so much better.

Alice in Wonderland is a delightfully macabre and creepy story. It has so much potential to be made into a tuely wonderful movie, especially with Tim Burton as a director, and this just isn't it... I was really disappointed and expected a much better movie. The CGI is decent (can't compare to Avatar, though), and I did ADORE the chesire cat... but everything else was just so mediocre.

If it had been any other director: 7.5/10

Since it was Tim Burton and I expected more: 5/10
