Alice in Wonderland Tea Party for the ladies, any ideas how or where to do this at?

I am doing what I think you want to do. I am using the keywest room. It has a F&B minimum for $500. I am doing soup, salad, and assorted tea sandwiches for $40 a person. I am also having fun cupcakes I posted pictures below they range from 6-8 per cupcake. I also went to a local paint your own poetry place and made favors that I also have pictured below. If you are not able to paint them yourself ask if they have an artist that can help you. I also got everyone a sun hat and am letting them MAKE A MAD HAT. I got flowers and ribben so they can decorate them thierselfs. A clothing store called Charlotte Russe has them for $7 each. I am having one longe table in the room with a wheat grass runner and lots of differnt color linens and chair covers. Then there will be tea pots down the table and the center peice is going to be the cup cakes on a cup cake stand I am making using little tea pots.

Where are you ordering them from if you don't mind my asking, and where did you find the Alice in Wonderland boxes forthe Tea Cups?I love the tea cups too. Very cute. The hat idea is Great and we have a Charlotte Russe in our mall 5 minutes down the street from me, so I will have to hit themup for the hats. I love the idea of decorating your own Hat idea. Than goodness we'll be driving down and having a U Haul Truck for all this stuff to bring down. I love your Mad Hatter hat too, where did you find that at if you don't mind my asking?

Pezaddict, thank you so much for reassuring me on who cares what my sister thinks. I want everyone having fun and a memorable time and I think this will add to the fun and it will be a nice way to have fun with the ladies(and maybe my son & twin nephews so the guys can drink a little alcohol w/o worrying about 3 little ones).

The cupcakes are being made by Disney. When I sent the picture to my planner she said she was sending them to the bakery. The boxes are actually plain boxes that I decoupaged with pictures I printed off my computer of Alice in Wonderland movie and the mad hatter tea cup ride. The mad hatter hat came from etsy here is the link http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=vt_related_1&listing_id=41299851. The lady who makes them is really nice and great to deal with. I know what you mean about the U haul my pile keeps getting bigger and bigger for stuff to take down. My DF wants to take our mini cooper down some how I don't think thats happening.

Keep in mind, if you are doing the afternoon tea, many of the "packages" include very yummy pastries, so you may not even need a cake. I do like the little tea packages and tea holders posted earlier as favors. Wish I had thought of those !
