Hi All,

I'm hoping this is the right place to post this theard and I'm hoping that ya'll can help me out!

I have a friend that has decided for her 25th birthday that she wants to have an Alice in Wonderland party. We have been thinking of ideas, but are still far from having an awesome party.

Here's what we have...

Using large hearts to let people know which apartment is hers.

Putting a rabbit hole sign on the door.

Cookies with "Eat me" and drinks with "Drink me"

Different teas, of course!

Finger sandwhichs and small apps.

And, us girls are thinking of dressing up, but on a small scale (red dress to be the queen, white dress and fake ears for a rabbit, etc.)

But, it seems like there are still tons of places for improvement! Again, this is a grown up party, not a child's party. The party is next weekend, so we don't have tons of time. And like everyone else in the world, we are on a tight budget.

Thanks in advance for your time and ideas!!!

Take Care!
Mary

How about the cards. They were the queens henchmen. You could do something with cards or different suits.

Cards... good idea! We could put cards on the tables as an easy decoration element. Thanks!!

How about serving the drinks in random cups? All of the tea sets in Alice were different and kooky.
Have a game of croquet. lol. I'd have no idea how you'd do that at an apt. :p
Hmmm...you're right. This is a toughie.

Have everyone where crazy hats (for the mad hatter) you could even have a crazy hat contest.

Can you make some kind of mini food- miniature cheesecakes (made in mini muffin pans) or something- and then some food that is large (like a cookie made on a pizza pan).

You can use playing cards to make place cards if you are having them.

That's everything right now.

Hit up the thrift stores for mismatched coffee cups and saucers! Have some of those lawn flamingos around as decoration!

Playing cards as invitations? print up the info on plain card stock and glue that to the back of cards.

good luck!!

I like the idea of using mismatched cups & saucers. As soon as everyone sits down, pour out the tea and then shout, "Clean cup!" and make everyone get up and move to another seat. :rotfl:

Thanks for all the ideas! I'm looking forward to the party, it should be really fun. :)
