Alice in Wonderland fans...

Has anyone done the Wonderland Tea Party lately? (I know this is probably the wrong forum, but maybe somebody can answer ) I am nervous leaving DD5 alone there because she is hesitant to do new things alone. I think she will love it because she loves Alice in Wonderland (and it's my favorite!) Is there a place for parents to sit nearby outside the tea party? I think I'm going to need something stronger than tea to get this trip planned!

My sisters did this several times, starting when they were six. (they're twins) It was one of their favorite things to do, and all us girls are momma's girls that never left her side!

It's at 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian, and there's plenty of places to sit in the hallway and nearby lobby. You can't really watch the tea party though. The kids don't stay at the table the whole time either. They crawl away with Alice and the Mad Hatter for stories I believe. There's curtains covering part of the glass doors to the restraunt, and if you peek in, the kids turn around and tell you "No peaking!". It's pretty funny.

The kids eat pb&j I believe, and they make cupcakes. You get a picture taken with the characters, and they sign it. You also get a flower. My sisters are bummed that they're too old to do it now, they always had a ball. They said Alice and the Mad Hatter were great, and they didn't mind being away from mom after a minute or two.

I have some pictures from when we picked up the girls, but I'm at work so I can't post them. If you're worried about dropping her off, the staff takes great care to make sure the kids are safe and no one but the parent picks them up. You get a receipt to turn in that matches up with your child, and they only allow people into the pick up who have the receipt. They moniter you when you enter and exit. Hope this helps!

DD will be going to this in December!
