Alias: The Missing Years

Did anyone see Alias last night?? I lost the battle to L&O: CI and wondeing what happened. Did Sydney get any answers to the 2 years she was missing or what???

the only "answer" raised only more questions...

first a little back ground from the story....
Her apartment was burned and her DNA was found at the scene. Her father started an unapproved investigation into what happened and he contacted her mother. Since the mother was in the FBI(?) most wanted list he was imprisoned for violating national security or something like that. He wasn't allowed visitors. Syd let on like she was remembering and had knowledge of place they were about to raid. She used it as leverage to see her dad. Later she was able to get her hands on a vital micro chip and used it to get her dad out of jail. At the end he asked her to come with him and see something he uncovered while trying to find her. It was a video tape of her killing someone.

So it appears that she was brainwashed and used as an assassin during the time she was gone.

And additionally, we are introduced to a new bad guy group, the Covenant. One of the lead Covenant guys in this episode likes to slit throats. Syd the assassin...slit a guy's throat. Things that make you go hmmmm....

Oh, and Sloane is 'good' but just happened to know Syd was coming for a visit and why she wanted to see him.

Also while Sydney was away, Sloane actually assembled the Rimbauldi device. He said it was constructed to play a one word message "Peace." Sloane is now the CEO of an organization that feeds hungry children. Sydney isn't buying into his total reform.

...and of course there's the whole story line of Sydney and Vaughan! Two years of lost memory only to wake up and find out that Vaughan is now married to someone else and isn't in the CIA anymore, now he's a teacher! I LOVED the scene at the end where Sydney tells Vaughan off ..."It's all about faith. You and I have seen some pretty unbelievable things together. I'd have never given up on you, what a complete waste that would have been!" (I probably didn't get the quote exactly right but it was a great scene.)

Then there were the previews.....lots is going to happen this season!

I didn't get to watch last Sunday's show until last night. Just wasn't expecting to see what Syd found in the box at the theater!

I was sorry to hear that Will's in the Witness Protection Program. Guess we won't be seeing his character anymore. (I always liked him.)

DH thinks that Vaughn's wife will turn out to be a double agent. We'll see....

At least Syd's father is back and helping her! ....and now that Vaughan is back at the CIA things should get interesting. I bet you're right about the wife being a double agent! That should make it easy to get Vaughan and Syd back together!
