Today we took the St John, Trunk Bay Beach Break along with a lot of other BOB’ers. As the tour started at 8.15am the alarm was set for 6.45am. We met up with the rest of the group in the Buena Vista Theatre, after our usual breakfast routine. After receiving our tour stickers and grabbing some towels, the group descend to deck 1 to disembark the ship.

A small pleasure cruiser was waiting at the dock to take them across to St John. The skies was very overcast and the forecast was not good, they predicted heavy showers this afternoon. The only room left was inside the boat, and the group are so glad as, as they crossed to St John the heavens opened and everyone outside got wet. The sea was also very choppy and passengers were getting wet from the spray

The boat trip took about 40 mins, and as they approached the dock, they got their first glimpse of the island. Beautiful palm trees and other tropical greenery. Next part, was to get onto a small tour bus which took them over to Trunk Bay. The bus stopped at a couple of places for the group to take pictures. We arrived at Trunk Bay, a national park and we receive a 10 minute talk about what we can and can’t do. Then finally we are allowed on the beach. It was stunning, absolutely beautiful. The water was a turquoise blue, the sand was a lovely white surrounded by more lush greenery. Trunk Bay is considered the number 2 beach in the world.

Rick leaves me on the beach and with some of the other BOB’er heads on over to the snorkelling area. He finds, unfortunately when he gets there, that their camera won’t work. I spend some time in the water with some of the other BOB’ers. When Rick gets back to the towels, he puts in another battery, but that doesn’t work either. Then he sees that water had gotten into the camera (even though it is an underwater one). So the camera is ruined, but we hope that the photos we have taken still come out. Unfortunately, we only have 2hrs on the beach before we have to make our way back. The return journey is fairly uneventful and we arrive back on dry land at about 1.30pm.

After a quick shower and clothing change, we pop over to the Havensight Mall area. This is a huge area on the dockside with shops, cafe’s and bar’s There is even a post office. I need another tee-shirt to wear at Castaway, and also a magnet for a colleague at work. We get everything we need and are back on the ship within an hour. Rick is hungry, so up to deck 9 for a quick snack.

Sail away is at 4.00pm as we have to get back to the Bahamas within 1 day and 2 nights. Tonight is Halloween on the Disney Magic with Trick or Treating, children’s costume competition and a sail away party on deck 9. Rick takes a quick nap, whilst I get the blog typed up.

Dinner tonight is in Lumieres, dress is cruise casual and the menu is all French. Not my favourite. I have Bacon and Stilton Tartlet to start and from the lighter fare, baked salmon with baked potato with veg. Rick has the tartlet too, but the filet minion for his main course. I'm disappointed as DCL has taken Cherries Jubilee off the menu so I have the trio selection for dessert and Rick has his usual ice cream sundae. Mike and Robin are celebrating their anniversary today and they receive an anniversary cake from DCL and everyone sings Happy Anniversary to them. The cake was delicious and we all feel very full when they leave the restaurant.

In the Theatre tonight we have a ventriloquist – Michael Harrison, who we have seen many times before, but as Rick likes him, we go and see the show again. The Theatre is extremely cold, and I'm glad I popped back to get my wrap. After the show, I need to grab a hot drink from the beverage station on deck 9 before moving over to Rockin’ Bar D for the Freddie Fusion adult show which is followed by the adult Halloween costume. Freddie Fusion is an extremely cleaver magician. How he did some of his tricks, we have no idea….but what I do need to know is where did he get the duck from?

Some of the costumes in the Adult Halloween Costume were very clever…you had the usual pirates, angels and demons, but the winners in the 5 categories were – Mrs Potts for Most Disney, A traffic cone for Most Original, A pair of dogs for The Group category, An alien clown for Most Scary and Mr Waffle Man for Most Funny. We called it a night after the show. We had a really good day, but we're beat and so it was time for bed.

:lmao: some of the costumes sound very clever, great day ....shame about the camera though !
