is anyone else out there going to miss Alfredo's at the Italian Pavillion in Epcot? At first when we went to eat there, we didnt like it, than we tried it again and actualy had the fet. alfredo. It was awesome. ever since, we always eat there. I am really going to miss it, the place was nice and we had a lot of fun there. I have been going there since I was a kid.

not sure how this new resturant is going to be.

I'm looking forward to the new restaurant. We've got plenty of good Italian restaurants around here but I was expecting better at Alfredo's.

There is no way a resturant ...especially in MA, makes The alfredo sauce the way they do there. I am from the nj/ny area, and i have yet to find it around here..

The fettucine alfredo is the best. No other restaurant comes close on that dish. We've had several lovely meals there -- I think of a lunch where we had the most wonderful waitress -- "Cinza". She was so terrific with our boys -- teaching them some words in Italian, posing for pictures, etc. Another time, DH and I were having a leisurely late lunch. We ordered a bottle of wine, then another -- we loved chatting with our waiter and bus boy. We must have been there three hours or more. The lunch crowd had gone, the afternoon slipped away delightfully. We will miss Alfredo's -- an old friend!

I was so disappointed when I heard that Alfredos was closing. it was a must do on all our trips. There Alfredo dish was the best I ever had very fresh and very rich. I will really miss it.

1) I think Alfredo's closing is a good thing
2) There were just too many faults
. . . tables far to close to each other
. . . slow service
. . . mediocre Italian tastes

Well, if your measure of a good Italian restaurant is the alfredo sauce, then you might be right.

But I measure a good Italian restaurant by the quality of the service, the quality of all the food (not just an alfredo sauce), and the presentation. In my opnion, Alfredo's comes up short.

if the tables were farther apart than people would complain that they can't get a seat. there is enough of a wait as it is now.
do you really want to be rushed when you are out to eat.
the italian food is based on actual italian tastes from italy, not american italian.

We freakin' LOVED Alfredo's. Probably our favorite epcot restaurant, and so much fun. Our arrival date this year? Sept 1, the day after it closes. :sad1:

Alfredo's is VERY comparable to NY Italian restaurants & I'll miss it terribly!! Alfredo's was a more high class Italian restaurant- not comparable to Olive Garden, Yuck!

preach it! :thumbsup2 :lmao:

I am so sad that Alfredos is closing my family has shared many meals there over the years and the two most recent being January 23, 2007 and Easter 2007 and we had spectacular meals. Both times we had amazing waiters who told us not only about the food but where they were from. I find that in Orlando good Italian food is hard to come by and it was nice to have a place I knew I would get a good meal.

I too will be sad:sad1: to see it go. The fettucine alfredo was incredible and yes I have to agree with ducfan78 - it was true italian fare not italian american like the Olive Garden (although I do love the salad and bread sticks). I also enjoyed the tiramasu. I will be going back to Disney in early December - does anyone think the new one will be opened yet?

We ate dinner there this year during spring break and yes it was very busy & loud but that’s kind of the atmosphere there. Our meal was nothing short of incredible. We started with the Antipasto All'Italiana then Fettuccine Alfredo for my wife and kids. I like to try different things so I had the osso bouco, just fabulous.
We would love to go one more time but we won’t get back there till the end of September.

I agree completely! I had the alfredo and I have to say I didnt like it at all! Maybe I caught it at a bad night, but it was really super bland and I had to get something else! So I cant wait to see what new place they bring in!

The way they make it there was the original recipie from Italy, the waitress told me, so the only way you might get that again is by going to Italy. Our watiress was actaully really funny, she goes, "this is the origional recipie honey, Americans make it a different way". I just started to laugh and was like, yea I guess I do... lol :lmao: .But I am from NJ and there is a wonderful Ita. Rest. in Howell, NJ called Christy's, we have eaten there a number of times, and to get there from where we live is a long drive, but I would travel to go eat there in a heart beat! It is really yummy! I hope this helps!

I'll miss it. DH and I went on our last trip. I loved the Fet. Alfredo and the atmosphere was fun. Hopefully the replacement is good!

I'm going to miss the fettucinni alot, but just found out that my new job in NYC is right near the New York branch of Alfredo's. Yum! I'll just have to make plans to go for dinner one night!

There is an Alfredos in Manhattan!

I will definitely miss it. We are going to WDW on Wednesday and made a lunch ADR at ALfredo's for Saturday, as this is our last trip before they close.:sad1: WE've only been twice, but each time our waiter was Gianni and he was wonderful!
