Alfredo's

We had lunch at Alfredo's a few weeks ago and it was wonderful! It was our first time and we were not disappointed!

We'll definitely be back!

Our family of five loved it here. I agree with DonnaW, also had the fettucinne, loved it and they let me have a child's portion during their lunch time. They served a whole loaf of bread which I thought we'd never eat-we FINISHED it, it was so good. We also sat in the side sunroom. I don't remember being crowded. Our drinks were refilled promptly. Some people can't get over the so called "european rude waiters". I don't get it , it doesn't bother me a bit. No my waiter wasn't jolly but we were waited on very well. I wouldn't hesitate to go back. The meal is what you make it. Our best meals have always been when we're good and hungry and the worst have been when we're tired and not so hungry. Know what I mean?

Some people can't get over the so called "european rude waiters".

I've been to Europe and all around the country and rude is rude. It cannot be excused because it's wrapped in a nice package. My issues with Alfredo's have more to do with being alternately ignored and then rushed to turn the table over. When soup and then appetizers arrive at the same time and the entry is delivered before the appetizers are done, that is poor service not "a European thing". My experience with European waitstaff has always been professional and courteous. Courses are timed and executed properly. On my visits to Alfredos I've alwasy felt that their main concern was the next customer (and I'm not on the DDP so that's not a factor).

As with everything, to each their own. I can live with a lot of things and accept almost everything, except for poor service and rude behavior. I don't have to be the waiters best friend by the end of dinner, but I do expect competent, professional service.

I agree that when your hungry everything tastes great and when your tired a great meal may not taste good. But I stand by my statement that everyone deserves to be treated courtesly and professionally.

By the way, I think that the food at Alfredo's is only ok, nothing special.

Alfredo's = Yuck!

See my review - Alfredo's a Mother's Day Review.

I am Italian and I thought Alfredo's was good. We had dinner there, there was an fun entertainment and good food... what else is there??? :thumbsup2

If you really want to try it then go, you'll have a fine time. I personally don't like the restaurant. I felt that the tables are too close together. I felt that the service was rushed and the wait staff alternated between ignoring you and rushing you out to turn the table over. I thought that the food was ok, not really special, but I have many Italian resturants around where I live.

I agree completely with this review. We tried it in January becuse we had the DDP, but I would not go back

We loved Alfredos.. it was the best meal we had during that stay. My Dd was 10 months old and we found out that Italian men love babies. They absolutely gushed over DD. We went along with it and ended up getting a tour of the kitchen and a sampling of pretty much all of their food. We returned on each trip there after and had great meals as well.
Now, that being said my ex was very picky and would only go for certain kinds of food. We have tons of italian places around here but no english or canadian or morrocan. If you are doubtful you will like it and are adventurous I would say to try someplace that you can't get at home.
Also, I would not really put too much faith in reviews here. Everyone has their own opinion and you can probably find just as many bad reviews of Alfedos as good ones.

We sat next to a couple at Le Cellier that had ate there the night before and they said it was the worst restaurant they had eaten at in all of WDW......

I would agree with this statement!

We ate there two trips ago. Definitely not a must-do every trip, but worth going back. We thought the food was really good. Not the best we ever had, but better than many.

The atmosphere is cool, but cramped. A little rushed, but not too bad. Try going in off hours if this concerns you.

One more thing, I am not terribly picky in a restaurant and a pretty good tipper. I don't expect my food to be perfect, but if something comes out well done instead of medium, it goes back. And if our appetizers come out with our entrees, the appetizers go back for good. I can forgive delays when a restaurant is busy, but get the order of the food right.

I love Alfredo's. I don't eat pasta but I almost finished DH's fettuccini Alfredo. It was soooo cheesy. :thumbsup2 The calamari is also very good and so are their caesar salads. Oh and so is there champagne!!

We usually travel with a decent size group and Alfredo's is a good place where everyone will find something. Its decent to pretty good italian. Being from Jersey I can fall down and hit an Italian restaurant just as good. But several of the people in my group think of this place as a "must go."

Even though my family loves Alfredos (we've always had good service), I totally agree with you about being treated professionally. I HATE bad service and I don't blame you for not going back to any restaurant that treats you poorly.

We have crossed off quite a few restaurants in Disney World (and New York, too) for that reason. That's why we would NEVER again set food in the Brewery or Spoodles on the Boardwalk.

You are paying good money to eat in these places and you should be treated with respect (and you should like the food!)

Everyone's tastes are different when it comes to food, but the service in a restaurant should always be good.
