Alfredo's or somewhere else?

We will be at WDW in May. Our anniversary is May 22nd and that is the day we will be in Epcot. We are not on the dining plan and are staying off property. It will be just DH and I, no children.

Now, we have never tried Alfredo's but DH is really thinking he wants to go there for our anniversary dinner. What do you all think or suggest?

We have done Morrocco - I loved it, DH hated it. We have also done San Angel - both enjoyed the ambience but thought food was just okay. I mentioned Le Cellier DH said no because we have steak houses here and there is no reason to go to one on vacation. I do not like seafood so we need to keep that in mind. We thought about France but DH thinks he won't find anything there he likes at all and isn't really open to it.

Men are so difficult!

Alfredo's gets a bad rap on the boards. Our family likes it but we go for the Alfredo. I have never seen a bad review on the Alfredo - it's always other dishes. We found our service outstanding both times.

My DH is very picky and is a meat and potatoes man. We don't care a whole lot for seafood either. That being said we like Alfredo's, Teppanyaki and Le Cellier and if he had it his way we'd eat at all three every vacation.

As a side note: We are picky steak eaters and go out for steak as well as cook it in a lot ... and Le Cellier was still a highlight of our last trip.

We have found Alfredo's to be way too crowded and noisy for our liking. The tables are too close together.

What about walking to the Boardwalk area for dinner? Spoodles is very good. I would suggest Yachtsman Steakhouse .. but sounds like DH would not go for that.

I was wondering the same thing as I have read such mixed reviews on Alfredos. Great question! Happy anniversary to you!
