Going with a friend at the end of March. I had a bad experience at Alfredo's several years ago but have heard better reviews since then so willing to give it a try, especially since I love Italian. Biergarten sounds fun though.

Which would you choose and why?

Hmm...enjoy both. But if I had to pick, I'd pick Alfredo's. We've always had awesome dinner's there. Last time we had a great waiter too! He tried teaching us Italian. It was great! Had an awesome veal dish and the pasta was fresh.

Our last dining experience at Alfredo's was not the best. The food was average and the waiter was robotic.I felt rushed the whole time we were there. I have such fond memories of wonderful past dining experiences there with a lot of extras, like singing and waving our napkins around, the roaming singers and the wonderful waiters not to mention the food.

Since I was so disappointed last time I would pick another resturant.

DH is German and loves the food at the Biergarten, I love it too and the shows are fantastic. We went with friends and shared the big steins of beer and danced on stage!

DH and I had dinner at Alfredos and loved the singing waiters but found the dining room to be very tight and cramped. The food was good but very very rich and filling.

I would go for Germany!

we went to Biergarten last trip after a long absence and really enjoyed it...with the group seating it is not intimate but we enjoyed it none the less, thought the food and entertainment was very good and would go back again

alfredos...hmm we went long ago and had snotty waiters , olive garden quality food ( maybe more like Ragu quality even) at $$$ and the seats were crammed together. the menu looks better and i might try it again but to me Beirgarten would be a safer bet. We like Italian but when we went it just didn't measure up.

My DH is also German and we have vacationed in Germany several times. My parents lived in Germany for a few years, so of course we had to try Biergarten! We weren't disappointed! In fact I was very impressed. I was nervous about it being a buffet full of sausage and kraut that I wouldn't like, but I loved the food! And the atmosphere was fun. Even my young children loved it as well. Having said all that, I have never been to Alfredo's, so I can't offer an opinion there. If you like German food at all, I think you will like it. Especially the schnitzel!!!
