Alfredo's Closing?

On this site under refurbishments, it states that Epcot's Alfredo's Ristorante (Italy) is closing but it has no dates listed. Does anyone know if it is a permanent closure or if it is just closing for a short time for refurbishment?

It's permanent. No replacement has been named yet. If you look around this board there are several other threads on the topic...the closing was announced a few weeks back.

Early rumors were that the closure wouldn't be very long -- that a replacement (perhaps Disney itself) would take over very quickly. No word since.

It was announced in Jan. that it was closing. When we had dinner there last week the waiter said they would be closing in June.
