don't forget you have access to the wish lounge you can always take a nice break in there that place looks so nice in the trs

Thanks Kaileighbug I have to keep in mind there are places we can go to rest. I am very type A and have to remember my son may poop out pretty early. BTW look who is talking about cute kids yours looks like a professional model soooo very cute! I see you're going back in Nov when did you go the first time? I think I am one of the few braving the heat of June. lol

What a story, you kids are too cute!! I hear that Pitt Children Hospital is great. They were going to send my daughter to that hospital. I think we have the same MAW chapter too. You need this trip to get away from this cold weather..:lmao: Can't wait to read more..

Your kids are BEAUTIFUL!!! I know, as a mom, you probably hear it alot and never get sick of hearing it. I am sooo glad Hamilton is getting his wish! I know his diagnosis came as a shock. At least with my son being born premature, we had SOME headstart of some of his problems. We are going to be in WDW a couple weeks before you for Star Wars Weekend so I will have some details to post before you go.

What adorable little ones! Yay for DIsney!!!! and airplanes... I love airplanes and jets too!!!!...

Um---how delicious are your children?! They are just gorgeous!!

So glad Hamilton is getting his wish. His diagnosis (or rather the shock of it, since we thought we were going in for a simple UTI!) sounds familiar to Brooke's--but I can't imagine three years of chemo. He sounds like a tough little guy!

And, I'm sure DH must just love encouraging Hamilton's plane obsession if he's an airline man himself! :) Love that.

Welcome--and hope you don't mind if I tag along for the ride! I can't wait to hear all about your family and plans....

What beautiful children! I'm so happy Hamilton is getting a Wish Trip. I can't believe your story and the shock of going from a happy, energetic boy one evening to hearing cancer the next day. My heart bleeds for you. Hamilton and you all certainly deserve some Disney magic.

Just read through your PTR. Your kids are super adorable! I'm so glad that you are able to take this trip :goodvibes Both my father and brother are named Hamilton, too...not a very common name. Well, happy planning! Can't wait to read more :)

Thank you so much! I can't believe we share the name Hamilton. He is the third... my husband and father in law both are Hamilton's. The other day I called him Hammy (we call him Ham, Hammy, and Hambone) he said why do you call me Hammy? I said why don't you like it? He said no he would like to be called Hamilton. I think it was the steroids because I am back to calling him Hammy and he is fine. Very cool name.

She likes to pose for the camera that is for sure....lol The picture was taken as we were walking up to catch the Disney Magical Express DME to go home. She figured she would leave in style....lol

I went to MK the first time in 1994. I went twice as a volunteer while I was in the Navy. Children from Canada came down who had medical issues. Lots of wheelchairs and lots of help needed. I had so much fun. It was great seeing all their faces just light up. We also had a group of us from the Navy that would go on Friday nights to GKTW and help with dinner. That was a lot of fun. That place is awesome.

I didn't make it back to Disney until Christmas of 2009. Little one's grandma decided to take both grand daughters and their families to Disney for Christmas. Now I have the Disney bug bad.... So we had our dismoon there last July with daughter in tow....:rotfl:

I hope you have a great time on your trip. To me the research is so much fun and it helps to be informed. I enjoy it just as the trip itself. I just have to have the mentality we won't see it all and not to try to see it all. But even so you see so much and have so much fun just spending time together. I really enjoy that we can ride the rides with the kids and watching the faces of the kids.

Aww thanks. Yeah Children's is awesome. I had to take Hamilton to my local hospital once because he had a fever and I will never take him any other place. The staff were nice but without regularly dealing with cancer kids it was a disaster. Since we are part of the same chapter have you ever been to any Make A Wish functions? We did the airshow and the Halloween party. If something comes up let me know and maybe we can me you out there.

Thanks. And I never get tired of hearing it:) Yeah it was a huge shock since he wasn't even a sick kid. At the end of the day it is all hard when you have to see your child sick.
Wow we thought about Star Wars because my DH and DS are fanatics but my DD is too concerned about make up work from school. They give the kids hours of work a day and they then hate to miss. (maybe that's the point:) I can't wait to hear about your trip. Please take note of the HEAT. It is my big worry. I have been going to the sauna at my gym to prepare and I am up to 15min in there lol.

We have decided to stay in Disney an extra night. Any suggestions on where to stay for that one night? I looked at Nickelodeon Hotel as my kids are huge Spongebob fans but I checked out the reviews and they are not great. Just wanted to know some of the places you stayed once you left GKTW. Thank you.

We have stayed at the Doubletree Suites in Downtown Disney and LOVED it.

If you get back to Charlotte anytime soon, please let me know, I would love to chat!! :goodvibes I LOVE our hem-onc clinic and doctors. They refer to Pittsburgh when needed, they do NOT have egos! If you do get to move back here, they might be an option for local treatment.
