Alex & Ani Bracelets?

The castle one is near impossible to find. I was looking for one for a friend on Main st. and no luck. Same thing at Mouse Gears. This was in December, so maybe it was the pre- Christmas shopping thing that did it.

I live less than two miles away from the flagship store and headquarters, and I'm always in there. I've mentioned on more than a few occasions that they should sell them in Alex and Ani stores because they'd sell extremely well.

Last trip, I got the filigree in silver, my sister bought me the mouseears Mickey, I also picked up the initial and birthstone ones. I bought my sister the Cinderella silhouette. Yes, we went a bit crazy but we love jewelry,lol.

This past Wednesday, January 29th, the castle was at mouse gears. Only one in the case, but when I bought mine she pulled it out of a drawer.

Just a little advise: always ask. When I was at Mouse Gear in Oct., they had some birthstone Alex and Ani's in the case. I asked if they had a stone not on display, and the CM said no, what they had was what was out. I was disappointed as I was Christmas shopping for my daughters, and they didn't have all of what I needed. I said okay, I'd take what they did have that I needed.

Well, when the CM opened the locked drawer...every single birthstone was in there! I was able to buy everything I wanted, and there were plenty to spare.

I don't really blame the CM...they only know what they are taught. But be sure that if you're looking for something specific,that the CM knows where to look.

They do this at the Alex and Ani stores too. They will sell you the one in the case if it is the last one though..

Can someone explain Alex and Ani? Is it like Pandora where you buy a bracelet and add beads/charms? It looks different? I like the look. Would a 17 year old girl want this for her birthday that also happens to be on Valentine's Day (from her boyfriend of about a month)?

You don't add the charms to the bracelet. You buy individual bracelets and wear as many as you like. I have my favorite ones like my Boston Red Sox and the Cinderella castle in silver.

I am slow to the party, just realized these are online now! but I wonder if they are the same price as in the park? $39? Also will discounts for online stuff they offer work? I know it hasn't before with my Vera Bradley Minnie weekender.

Watch for one of the sales of % Disney Park Merchandise. They are offered less frequently, but they would include A & A bracelets.

I bought the castle one at Uptown Jewelers in MK on Easter.

Just bought the silver castle bracelet online today, along with my Disney Vera Bradley wristlet and was able to use the Disney Visa discount on both and free ship
