Has Ale & Compass always been amazing? I didn’t even really hear about it until we stayed at Yacht Club.

We ate here twice and were not disappointed. Breakfast was amazing. Dinner was fantastic. We loved the atmosphere and the service. Would eat there again in a heartbeat!

I know everyone loves Beaches & Cream, and we liked it a lot, but dang, Ale & Compass was our front runner on this trip.

You know, I ate last year at Ale and Compass and had horrible service and mediocre food. But I've heard so many great reviews that I really should give it a second chance. What did you have for breakfast? I had the omelet and was really unimpressed. Maybe I'll try they chocolate waffles? I do love chocolate!

Ate there in Oct for the first time ever. Service was good, food better that I expected. All in all we enjoyed ourselves, but not enough to make it a must go back to. Now as soon as Flying Fish reopens......

A year we went on an adult trip, staying at the Boardwalk, and went to Ale and Compass just because it was nearby. Loved it so much we went 2 more times. Truffle fries were great!

So happy to read this! I had planned on La Hacienda on arrival night, but apparently they’re closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. I made an ADR at A&C just to have something. Guess I’ll keep it!

I’m a fan of A&C! Find some of the food to be slightly on the salty side but honestly I love salt.

It was excellent and probably still is when factoring in what we should reasonably expect to change due to the pandemic. I'm saddened specifically by the loss of the buffet at A&C for breakfast. We're local and it was just about to become our every-Sunday-morning breakfast. The best thing about it was that we would enjoy a great breakfast, including bagel and cream cheese and smoked salmon, and then our entree would come (we would typically order the protein bowl) and it would go right into the carryout container for tomorrow's lunch.

Agreed! Granted we've only been for brunch...but after the first time we were like, "Where have you been all of our lives?!?" It's now a must-do on every trip!

I had the blueberry bacon pancakes. It came with an orange butter...so surprising and delicious. My partner had the chocolate waffles and he enjoyed them very much.

I just took my 4 youngest kids there.
It was great. The service was excellent, and when none of my kids really wanted what was on the menu, the waiter just brought them whatever they wanted.

and I like any place that just plops an entire pot of coffee right in front of me.

Ate at the lounge appended to A&C two years back. Great bar, horrible food. Of course, it was meatball app and tasted like chef Boyardee. If it’s gotten better, great.

Ate there for dinner on our arrival night in October. The service was amazing and the Seafood Potpie was out of this world!!!! Would definitely recommend :-)

We have eaten at A&C a few times since it opened. Always had great service and good food. Have not had breakfast, but have had lunch and dinner. Good burgers!

Cool! I have a dinner booked on my second night which I am looking forward to.
It looks a little on the "nice restaurant" side. Did you feel a need to dress a little nicer for dinner there or was casual theme park attire okay? Debating if I should pack some nicer clothes for that dinner or not.

People were in all sorts of attire. No need to dress up, but you can if you want to make it feel a little fancier.

I agree, the aesthetic of the restaurant definitely has an upscale vibe to it. It’s so pretty.

I've been wanting to try this one but the ease of getting an ADR has kinda scared me away. I'll give it a try!

I've given it a 2nd and 3rd chance and still don't like it! I've been for lunch twice and breakfast once. We had a nasty host once who wouldn't let us sit down for our breakfast reservation because we were a few minutes late. It took her manager coming over to say he'd seat us when they turned over for lunch. We never had good service and the food was always just ok (besides those Parker House rolls, those were amazing).

My sons stayed at YC in October and they really liked Ale & Compass. I had booked it as a backup but they used all 4 ADRs for dinner and breakfast.
