I'm going in early June and have reservations for both Ale & Compass and Cape May Cafe for breakfast. I'm trying to decide which to keep. The prices are comparable for the buffets at both, but I like the idea of getting an entrée and having the buffet options as sides A&C. But I also realize there's way more on tre buffet at CMC. I have a party of 6 adults, but one of them is a bit of a picky eater. Also, I know CMC was previously a character breakfast, and a price change if characters come back would probably make the decision for us. Anyone have any thoughts to share from their experience?

Ale and Compass. Hands down. No comparison. Food and atmosphere.

So, both have their menu pros and both are currently similar in price, but ime CMC tends to be very busy with more kids and A&C seems quieter and more relaxed. I like both but currently preferring A&C.

I would choose A&C - we've eaten there for breakfast several times and it's really good. Our last two visits to Cape May have been less than stellar and I don't think we will go back.

Ale and Compass hands down. Better food/atmosphere. I ate at Cape May Cafe last year and the food was fine but service was VERY slow. This was back when it was family style and not a buffet but it even took an eternity to get waters and coffee.

btw A&C has a buffet option where you pick one entree and get a choice of buffet items such as biscuits and gravy, fruit, yogurt parfaits, etc. Since it includes coffee, tea or juice, it is a good deal at $23. My family just ate there today and said it was great.

This is interesting. I would have picked Cape May. My one experience at Ale and Compass for breakfast was not good at all. Rushed server-I needed something for my tea when she brought it, but she disappeared so fast, I finally flagged down someone else. And more to it. However, so many positive reviews here make me think I really should give it another chance.
However, I had a great experience at the Cape May breakfast a few months ago. This was when it was family style, not buffet.

We ate at Ale & Compass for the first time in November before it added the buffet and loved it!

Another vote for Ale & Compass. Their breakfast is fantastic - we make it a point to grab it at least once a trip - either by sitting down or getting it to go. They have options that, IMO, are above and beyond the ordinary, wheras CMC is just another typical Disney breakfast buffet. It's fine, but nothing special.
