Two of my favorites! Has anyone tried the Mama Cozzi frozen pizza or Easter candy from Aldi?

My kids eat the Mama Cozzi 99cent pizza all the time--it tastes and cooks like totinos. the larger self rising are good as well, and when they have them the whole wheat crusts are very good too.
Aldi Chocolate--I personally feel it is comparable to Lindt. It is very high quality chocolate, the Easter rabbits, little chicks and bunnies have all been big hits here!

Love Aldi!!! Their cheeses are really tasty-I also do very well with their produce.

Love their pizzas! Haven't tried the chocolate, think I will now. I was just there today and was telling my DH how I love going there. I know what we like there and it tastes even better being cheaper than a grocery store.

I haven't tried the Mama Cozzi pizzas but we have had the fresh large one. They are big enough to feed my family of 4 adults with a salad. I also love there gourmet cheeses: Gorganzola, Romano, Fresh Mozzerella. We like their Kielbasa better than HF and just tonight we had their cheese tortellini, shrimp, and garlic bread. The produce is the best price but you do have to look it over carefully as sometimes it is close to being over ripe.
I have not tried their chocolate yet but they do offer a refund if there is anything you don't like. My mom once bought a pineapple that was not good. They happily gave her the money back.

History lesson time.... (this is internet info so may or may not be true)
Well the chocolate makes sense since it's a German owned firm. I had heard Trader Joe's owns Aldi = did a little googling and found out that 2 brothers owned Aldi. They had a fight and split the company in 2 one brother controlling Europe and the other Brother getting everything else. They had previously bought Trader Joe's. The European owning portion of the business owns Trader Joe's. So some Trader Joe's private label stuff shows up on the shelves there.

As a former Trader Joe's shopper it makes sense to me. I have not tried the chocolate yet I will have to I suppose!

Does anyone have one of the Totinos-like pizzas handy and be willing to check if they have trans fats? TIA!

To new Aldi shoppers 2 tips =
1. Bring a quarter for your cart

2. Bring your own bags.

Aldi while not know here in the US is kind of like a European version of Walmart. They are a huge chain that spans several countries. The sell everything from food to electronics to what ever... As always you get what you pay for. If you buy their cheap stuff then it is cheap if you get their high end stuff the it is high end (we buy their cheap stuff which is usually a third of what it costs in a normal supermarket). Aldi is the only place we shop and we save hundreds of dollars a month. For the OP, we buy their pizzas every trip and have them once a week. They are pretty good, but once again we get the cheap ones ($2.29 each i think). If you can get their garlic pizzas they are excellent and less then $3 each. I have not eaten their chocolate but i would suspect it is made by a major or commonly known manufacturer and i would bet it is ok. I would go for it.

I would also imagine nutrition information is on their website.

The only real issue you have to get over is the way they check you out. Apparently, they actually put a timer on the check out process and they have a specific time to get you though. So in turn they quite literally throw, dump and shovel you food into your cart after scanning it. We have been using Aldi for a decade and a half and we still get irritated...

I didn't see it on their website, although it just dawned on me that since I don't think they are legal in Europe they probably don't have them.

Keep the recommendations coming, Aldi is opening near me next week!

They just recently started carrying an all natural ice cream (called Belmont). It comes in the same (standard) flavors of Breyers and tastes like it. I love Breyers so I am thrilled to have an option at Aldi's for that!

We like their cereals, also. The Milleville cinnamon toast squares are good!

I haven't tried the Easter candy yet.

Oh, also, the Fit and Healthy items they have are usually very good-I like the all natural fruit strips and the caramel rice cakes.

Just tried the $2.29 pizzas; tastes just like Tombstone which we like. They had $.99/lb strawberries again which is a great price around here.

Looks like we will try their Easter candy this year. :thumbsup2

I am at Aldi at least once a week for: cereal bars, cereals, milk, cheese sticks/slices/crumbles (so much cheaper than the regular market!). I also really like their beef products. Oh, also I purchase 1/2 dozen roses there all the time for $3.99, and they are beautiful!

The chocolate is to die for.

I adore the way they do check out. I've never had anything damaged and I hate standing in line waiting at the other grocery stores while the clerk ditzes around. The lines get a bit long at my Aldi's but it never takes long to get through them compared to the conventional stores.

I love Aldi they is cheap on produce, pizza and a lot other stuff. I can
t take mom to the store because should least spend a 100.00 dollars a trip.

....Made in:.............(I don't know about you, but I've heard so many horror stories of toxic or bad ingredients/ unsanitary facilities etc that we don't want food from countries like China ..no matter how low the price is

Right now I am sitting here enjoying, and I mean truely enjoying some decadent chocolate from Aldi. It's the Chocor Chocisseri smooth chocolate caramels. They are individually wrapped and they are milk chocolate with a creamy caramel center. My Mother and I shop at different Aldi stores and I don't buy much chocolate from mine, ( I do buy everything else) but my mom bought these for me as a little gift.. and it was a good one! YUM.

Aldi chocisseri caramels made in Germany
Aldi Honey from USA Argentina
Aldi Fit and Active Berry Snack cookie/Crackers Made in Holland

I like buying cornchips/tortillachips/and their dorito equivilant, usually $1 a bag here and tastes good :)

I'm actually wondering how their toilet paper is lol I bought napkins once and was not impressed, but dh actually wants me to stop buying the thick tp
