Does anyone know if the alcove tables at Enchanted Garden are large enough to accommodate a party of 6? I would love to request one of those tables, but with so many people, I am not sure we could fit.

No. Unless you were all super tiny. We had them once and they were uncomfortable. I would say 4 max but I prefer a regular table. They look cool but that was about it IMO.

That is great to know. They do look really cool, but I was sure you wouldn't be able to get more than 4 around there. I feel better knowing that they weren't that great. LOL. :p

I think only 4- 2 adults, 2 children. 4 adults would be rather cozy
I agree. We had 4 adults in one of them. It was pretty "cozy". Not so much toward the outside of the circle (where our shoulders would be), but underneath the table, we knocked knees a lot. And the table is quite small, especially if you like to order multiple plates of stuff.

And, as with most booth-type tables, you can't scoot up to the table. Leaves a lot of space to drop stuff in your lap as it travels from plate to mouth.

Yep. IMO, too.

I'd rather sit at a comfy table and look at the neat-looking tables rather than be uncomfortable (and nearly fall as you get out of the table b/c you've forgotten over the last 1.5 hours that you had to step up) AT the tables.

On top of that - there's a little edge that sticks out at the bottom that's real easy to trip over:

We were at a 4 top table in the other dining rooms and given one of those booths in Enchanted Garden. Will echo others -- they were not comfortable and definitely no more than 4 adults could fit not only around the table but at the table with all the plates, glasses, etc. Also I felt like I was eating in the middle of a parade -- there was a constant flow of people by the table coming and going and many, many people watching.

Darn, that's disappointing. For some reason I've been obsessed with eating in one of those since the Dream was unveiled! Is EG open every day for breakfast or lunch? Could I sneak in there one day with just the DH to have a meal so I could cross it off my list?

This is a great question. Would love the answer. :)

Yes you should be able to eat breakfast and possibly lunch in the booth at EG. You might have to wait for a prior group to leave, but yes.

My family has been assigned to those tables twice now (1-Dream, 1-Fantasy). The first time there were only 3 adults and it seemed a bit crowded. Last time was with 4 adults - 2 of us on the larger side and surprisingly enough we didn't have any issues at all. Also our server / asst server and even our head server would pull out the table so that we would have easier access entering and leaving those "tight" confines.

And NO, 6 people would not fit unless they all were in the under 11 year old crowd.

We request them at lunch when it is just the two of us but anything more than that and they are crowded. Maybe 2 adults and 2 kids could fit but more adults start hitting knees and playing footsies after 2/3.

The tables are pretty, but so uncomfortable. Our family of 4 ( 12 and 13 year old teens at the time and two adults) were packed in like sardines. Very uncomfortable. Everytime someone reached for the salt, whoever sat next to them got hit in the ribs. There were quite a few kicks as well to the shin that were accidental in nature, but painful on impact.

I actually felt like I was in the Tea Cups at WDW when I first sat in the booth. It was tight.

This is really good to know! As you can see by my profile shot, I am not a tiny woman, my husband is a nice average size and my kids are skinny. My parents are on the small end of what might be considered plus size. So clearly, 6 would be impossible and even our 4 would be questionable (my son will be 17). I will try to do breakfast there one morning with my mom and dad perhaps since DH is not a breakfast person. Or maybe even a breakfast or lunch with my DD (11) as something fun since she really likes the alcoves, too.

DH is a bigger fellow, and I believe I was a 14 when we were seated there, and DS was 8 years old, and we had difficulties. If you're a person of size it's really best to sit elsewhere, IMO. (and especially in DH's opinion)

There were 4 of us, and I did not like sitting there. Plus, it was a buffet, which meant getting in and out. We were pleased with out table mates, so we did not ask to move.
