The website says "6 beers (no larger than 12 oz)". No specification as to whether in cans or bottles. Are the bottles 12 oz or less?I know I can bring 2 bottles or 6 beers, but can anyone tell me if the beers have to be in a can? Or if I can bring 6 bottles of wine coolers (I like seagrams ). They are in a bottle and says flavored beer on the side of the bottle.
The alcohol restriction is "2 bottles of wine or champagne (750ml) OR 6 beers (12 oz) on embarkation and in ports of call".I was wondering the same thing. I don't like beer but I do like Smirnoff. I wonder if I could bring those.
Possibly the security person wasn't concerned because he didn't see anything to question. In late October, we carried on a rolling suitcase with our 4 bottles of wine, some bottled water and 6 cans of sparkling water. The security person looking at the scanner was not concerned. They seemed to only be looking for blatant offenders so you would probably be fine if you want to try it.
Bring it.. Security won't even checkI was wondering the same thing. I don't like beer but I do like Smirnoff. I wonder if I could bring those.
Unless Smirnoff is wine, champagne, or beer, it's not allowed.
I get that. But the question is - will DCL recognize it as "beer". I'm not sure, but I'm guessing, unless it says "beer" it won't be.In the US the smirnoff coolers tend to just be malt-based. Beer is malt-based. So...
That's what I'm figuring, also. But, if it doesn't actually say "beer", even though it's a "malt-based liquor" with an alcohol content the same as beer, the question is - will that also be allowed?if the label says flavoured beer and you are allowed 6 X 12oz beer I can't see how they can deny you as long as each bottle is 12oz or less
