I know at Magic Kingdom there is no alcohol in the park, but alcohol is available at the other parks. But, I was wondering is it the same at DL? What about DCA?

I promise me and DH are not lushes :rotfl:, we just like to kick back on vacations and enjoy some fruity drinks (me) and beer (DH).

Also - you may or may not be able to answer this one. At WDW on all the drink menus there is a drink called the superfruit maragarita. When we were at WDW in November I fell in love, and I was wondering if anyone has seen this on any of the drink menus around the DLR?

TIA!

At DCA near the mexican food place and the chinese place there is a stand that sells beer and margaritas I think. DH and I actually got a beer last year. It was a Hefavison type beer and we were both pretty dissapointed with it.

There is also wine served somewhere... Might go for that next time if I can find it. Although we will be there in June so a margarita will probably sound pretty darn good!

WDW and DL are really quite different when it comes to alcohol. In DL like posted earlier you will not find alcohol served. DL, is Main Street, Adventureland, Critter Country, Frontierland, Fantasyland, Toon Town and Tomorrowland. However, you can get alcohol just about everywhere in DCA (ie; beer at Award Wieners, wine and beer at Trattoria...). There is a full service bar at Ariels. You can also enjoy a cocktail in DTD. I have never heard of your "superfruit margarita". There is a really quaint bar located inbetween Goofy's Kitchen and Steak House 55, in the DLH. I would ask them if they could make it. :tink:

Actually Club 33 does sell alcohol in Disnryland, but no place else.

The special drinks found throughout WDW are currently in flux, as are the ones in DLR. You will find the same drinks in both resorts as Disney is aligning the drink menus. Possibly your superfruit magarita is already at DLR. Possibly it is going to arrive soon. Possibly it will leave WDW.

I can't remember if I've had a superfruit margarita, but I know they have a few "unique flavored" ones. As PP said, they seem to be changing quite frequently. Different cocktail menu in December than there was in August. What is good to know that the onsite hotels and restaurants go off the same menu which also exists at the Cove Bar in DCA.

I'm not a drinker, but the adult beverages for sale during elecTRONica look SOOOOO awesome!

I actually just had a margarita in DCA a few weeks ago and I do remember they had a fruity one but can't remember the exact name - I am a traditional margarita gal. It was very hot that day and it tasted sooo good!

Several places to kick back and enjoy an adult beverage that I particularly love - Cove Bar, Golden Vine at Wine Country Trattoria, Napa Rose lounge or Hearthstone Lounge at GCH and my favorite - Uva Bar in DTD.

Tortilla Joe's DTD also makes great margaritas!

The Wine Country Trattoria has a huge wine selection. If wine is something that you are into, you might look into going to the California Wine and Food festival that takes place in DCA in early spring. We have been and had a blast sampling wine, enjoying delicious food and awesome cooking and drink mixology demonstrations. (We like to enjoy an adult beverage or 2 and people watch as well, don't feel bad about it :))

Oh yes we can't forget the Margarita bar in the Pacific Warf (it's in the same area as the brewery so you could grab your margarita and the DH his beer)!

Rita's Margarita
Lemon Lime or Strawberry - $6.79

Rita's Grand Margarita
Rita's Margarita with a splash of Grand Mariner - $7.29

Thanks, I think I might have myself a grand this summer;)

i read recently on a blog or something that DCA has this new lounge called "alfresco lounge". I have no idea where it is, but from what i read it has a full bar also

Also i read in the Disney Blog that the Food and Wine Festival for DCA is not going to happen this year, i also read a while back( i subscribe to the disney blog) that the Cove bar charges a cover charge. just a heads up from a newbie!

I *think* the Alfresco Lounge is near WCT but I'm not sure. It is new so I've never been there but I have a friend who goes often and I'm pretty sure that's where she said it was. :) The Cove Bar ONLY charges a cover at night, that is so people can't go sit in the bar for hours waiting for World of Color, the cover charge helps discourage loitering. :)

Assuming this is the same Agave Nectar Margarita that they had at WDW in February 2011, I would HIGHLY recommend it! :thumbsup2

It was one of the best "mix" margaritas I have ever had, very much like the Agave Margaritas I make at home!

Funny you mention that.....when I stumbled upon the superfruit margarita at WDW, I had originally ordered the Agave one, but the bartender talked me into trying the superfruit instead. (which i loved him for :lovestruc) This margarita is a little unconventional, it is your typical margarita, but they also add a splash of Veev Acai vodka to it. When he told me it had vodka as well as the tequila I looked at him a little cockeyed, but he assured me it was good. And it was hands down the best margarita I have ever had. A-MAZING.

I never got to try the agave one, because this was my first drink at WDW last trip and I was hooked the rest of the week, I keep joking to DH that I wish WDW had a drink order mail service, so I could order them anytime. Ever since then when we go out I always hunt down the pomegranate margarita, and nothing has even came close to the Disney one.......of course! ;)
