Just wanted to share...this is not a complaint, but a tidbit to keep in mind.

On Monday night we dined at Raglan Road. Great restaurant, atmosphere and live band, BTW! I ordered 3 dirty ketel one dirty martinis (yeah, I had a rough day, you wanna make something of it?:woohoo: ) and when we got the bill, it was $40 for the 3 martinis!:scared1:

The next night, I had 2 Ketel One dirties (not *as* rough of a day, LOL) at Flying Fish (second time dining there, that place is AWESOME) and they came to $14.50.

Sooo...at RR, they are $13.25 each, and at FF (which I consider more upscale) they are $7.25? That's a pretty huge difference!!!

Oh well, live and learn, right? Can't say I wouldn't order them at RR again, they are my favorite drink. Oh, at RR they did NOT have blue cheese stuffed olives, but at FF they did (making that martini worth MORE, not less) although I could tell the olives were purchased stuffed, not hand stuffed like some restaurants. The blue cheese was kind of dry inside the olive, whereas when they are hand stuffed, the cheese is more creamy.

You may have gotten a price break at FF. In the menu, those dirty martinis are listed at $8.25 each, and an extra $1.25 for the cheese stuffed olives.
But at $9.50 that's still a huge difference from Raglan Road--.

That's a good point, Uncle R. I know that at many restaurants (not at WDW, I mean everywhere) I pay varying prices for the same drink. I am not sure if the bartender just rang up well vodka as oppsed to Ketel One, and just didn't charge for the olives. We sat at the "bar"...not where the kitchen is, but the the tall bar. We LOVED our waiter, he was awesome. He might have charged us less cuz he got a good vibe from us. :goodvibes Also, we used the DDE, and at RR the 18% gratuity was added (as we expected it to be) but at FF, the gratuity was NOT added. The waiter gave us each a sample of a port that had a chocolatey tastes (I think it was called "amore something?") and was just so attentive, friendly, knowledgeable about wine...we tipped 25%.

Remember, Raglan Road is technically not a Disney owned restaurant. I would expect that things would be different prices.

Well, even among Disney restaurants prices are different. I get that. I am not saying I don't expect prices to vary. I am just saying it is a BIG difference.

They both do accept the DDE.

Man $40 would get you a nice bottle of Ketel and a jar of olives to have in the room to last the whole trip.;)

LOL, trust me, I though of the 1.75 liter bottle of Ketel sitting in my freezer at home. Made me sad!:sad1:

Yeah, I'm with Uncle on this one. I thought the 'standard' dirty martini was either $8.25 or $8.50 when we were there 6 weeks ago (I'll have to check my receipts this week). But I know it was listed at more than $8, so I too think you got a price break. Cool.

Darn...I cannot find my itemized receipt. Now you and UncleR are making me doubt myself. Maybe I misread it in a ketel one induced fog???? I am pretty darn sure it was $14 and "something" cents, though...for the two. I'll see if DH has the recipt tucked in his wallet when he gets home tonight and will report back to you!
